To be fair, the gloss looks way better than the previous photos have shown off, and the black is a nice shade. The front is a bit boring but it's not bad, much better than ID4.

Lovely colours and design.

Yep both colours are quite lovely, especially the black! The designer really deserves an award for the inspired decision to make the front 80% plain black!

It really makes me appreciate how beautiful the 'Armageddon' and 'Die Hard With a Vengeance' steelbooks are

Pre-ordered this one without having actually seen it .

Actually, of the Rambo franchise I've only seen John Rambo. I haven't seen it since I was 15 in theaters but i remember what a bloody, gory mess that was, without much of an actual plot. It turned me off the franchise.

And now with this steelbook release, I look up info on the first film and it turns out it's well reviewed, it has a good story, good acting and everything. Damn Hollywood for turning that into a butchery (at least on the latest one, and on the previous two sequels too, from I gathered), but at least the first one seems interesting.

I wonder what Stallone's career could have been if he only did this one Rambo film and the first Rocky film.

Anyway, can't wait to have my hands on this steelbook . I love the artwork, it stands out.

Actually, the Rambo franchise has more of a political message than an actual plot.

01- The lack of respect for the war vets.
02- The deny of the existence of POW´s.
03- The Afghan war situation.
04- The Burma war situation.

For me, this is the worst steelbook in terms of artwork... If you think this stands out just check the original posters and imagine what would be like to have those.

I dunno about a lower price but it will be on Ebay, this could be a either way type of steel. It could skyrocket in value or not, just have to wait and see.

Commando is around £22 on ebay and zavvi was selling £14.99 so a 33% mark-up.

It could get as high as a 50% mark up the first week or so before coming back down to earth. Just have to see how the demand is for it. Im just happy I have my copy pre ordered
