well the back and the inside nice and the front the man who designed that needs disney to bring out the elephant gun and shoot him/her, its just as flash has said its sh*t end of story.
They screwed up wall-e and now this if this is disney steelbooks going forward i for one will not be buying them anymore.

someone joked earlier in the thread lets hope they don't do this rubbish too star wars to you i say nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooo they can't fook that up please god no, hopefully that will get proper decent disney treatment as reckon that be film of the year potential even though will be out december.

lastly one other way to look at this release for those with the other decent versions values have just increased in them :D

I actually like the front but on its own.
It does not follow the theme of the other steels though and £24.99 even with 3 d for a catalog release.
Another Pixar pass

I've had a thought recently. Just the one, I can't handle multiple at once...

Anyway, would it be possible that Disney/Pixar charge different sums for different artwork? Like, maybe for a really basic, boring artwork like this they would want 50% of the sales, whereas something a bit more interesting (like Blufan's submission) they'd want closer to 90% of the sales. That would explain Wall-E too, and my theory of Zavvi taking the piss because of that poll. We've shown that we really want it, so Zavvi think they can choose the worst/cheapest artwork and still sell out at a high price.

I dunno, I've just pulled all of that out of my butt. Probably waaaaay off the mark.

I have no interest in the film, thankfully, but I still wanted to comment on how utterly, utterly rubbish this looks.

I mean come on, the whole thing must have taken about 3 minutes and there's all the telltale signs this was done by someone trying out photoshop for the first time. It may as well have an Adobe logo in the corner.

I just wish they wouldn't even try to come up with something "clever" or artistic because it is shite. every. single. time.

I actually really like it, saying that, the FS DVD Steelbook for Ratatouille was one of my favourite Steelbooks, along with Cars.
That lovely deep metallic blue. It took me about a year to warm up to the FS Blu-ray Steelbook before I purchased it.

I'm with the tribe that like the design, I do admit it's a like or dislike design though. If you're a completest and have all the others I can definitely see their point of view about having something consistent to collect. As I only buy into a movie I want and if I like the artwork, I will be buying a copy of this.

I'm pretty sure they have some say in it

If they know it's ticking off their customers, the ones who are going to buy it (or would) then it's up to Zavvi to say to whoever made it

"Look guys, people don't like it, can you please change it because we have a funny feeling after a while we'll have to sell a couple hundred copies for cheaper then what it was at full prince. Less money for us, less money for you"

They need to grow some balls.
Zavvi have never cared about the customer, plain and simple; We all know their dirty tactics in selling stock (i.e. only offering Wall.E if you purchase a Z-box) and their customer service track record is nothing short of abysmal.

I'd go as far as to say whoevers running the show over at Zavvi has next to no knowledge of steelbook collectors wants and needs.

This Pixar collection is not having much luck in comparison to Disney. From MU WWA, random Toy Story embossing, Monster's Inc back art & now this Ratatouille "minimalist" art..maybe they have a different creative designer to have this much inconsistencies.

Zavvi are seriously taking the piss now, they pick the worst art possible the world as ever seen, price it at the highest possible price they can and they think it's great, because it will sell out and they make maximum profit. I can't believe I have just sold my German version because this was being released, I will have too contact the buyer to see if they will sell it back too me :cry::cry::cry::cry:
