- so dissapointted. goodman was excellent. but otherwise. too little too late. and those creatures cannot be that hard to beat if one person killed huge one with molotov cocktail alone. then army with missiles etc should have a field day.

so I agree with @C.C. 95 (again) on this one ...

:thumbs: Thanks!:D (And, Check me if I'm wrong - Molotov cocktails spread fire on impact. They don't EXPLODE!)
Good to know The Witch is good. It is on my "To Watch" list:thumbs:

Is there a superhero movie you don't think is a perfect film?
Might wanna mix other genres into the rotation for variety...;)

Wow, I've rewatched 3 films at the cinema during this year already, usually it's one or none.

Very good, I love Albert Finney's Poirot so much. A shame he didn't play the role in other films. The ending has always been something that makes me shudder though, to me it is like an ending of a horror movie... such ending portrayed so happily with fanfares, The version in which brilliant David Suchet stars is inferior obviously, but the ending is much more suitable for me.
Notorious (1946) -

A classic example of a Hitchock spy thriller.

If I actually was a Marvel fan this movie would have been completely outrageous. What a way to flush every character down the toilet, even losing the depth in Downey Junior's Stark. An unbelievable brain fart. Sigh.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens -

Let's just say that there's a difference between a remake and a tribute. Some think it's even poetic, hah. Hopefully the filmmakers will have a true vision next time and stop being like kids writing fanfiction based on their favourite film.
I don't how to respond to the fact that you rate HARCORE as a better film than NOTORIOUS and MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS....

Does that mean that the Nordic countries make Nordic Noir, but don't watch them?!;)
May I recommend the California Beach comedies of the '70's and '80's for some relief?!!

I do enjoy NN. but if I was to watch California Beach comedies in the middle of the winter I might end up

I wanna see that others are miserable too. films like Se7en are good in that way.

 Yes, we have mentioned the idea of comfort in shared misery! (Didn't Morrissey make a career out of it?)
There is a great speech from Robin Williams character in the great MOSCOW ON THE HUDSON. After his Soviet character defects to America, he talks about how he misses his misery like a security blanket.
Believe it or not, my favorite weather is winter, fall, and rain - so I would probably be very happy in Finland!
(After all weather effects the creation of art. There is a reason the Beach Boys (California sun) wrote "Fun, Fun, Fun" and The Smiths (Manchester, UK) wrote about being in love while getting hit by a bus ("There is a Light That Never Goes Out")

Hardcore is more innovative than either of those (which is always something that needs to be respected) and touched my emotions deeply, music is a big part of the experience for me and it was a complete hit for me so in addition to everything else I think I can give the full score. As a video gamer it is a movie I've been waiting for a long time, I think many others as well. Not to mention that it actually is more compelling and exciting than most of the FPS games that actually have the interactive part included.

Notorious is very good if you love dry spy thrillers, I don't. Hitchock has done many better films, though can't say that four stars is bad. :D Also I explained the main reason why I took a half star off Orient Express, which is among my favourite detective films anyway.

I'm not really knocking your subjective opinion. (That much...;))
To each their own.
But it must be stated that Hardcore is hardly the first POV film. 1947's Lady in The Lake and Gaspar Noe's 2010 Enter the Void (among others) have done this.

Mainly looking at the way it handles its action, very refreshing. Like I've said, it's this year's Mad Max Fury Road for me. They both show how it's (amazingly) possible to take risks in a very riskless genre and do something we haven't seen over and over again. Can't certainly be compared to Lady in the Lake or Enther the Void at least. I've always found Hitchcock's most dry adventures in the spy world quite borish, but I definitely like Notorious more than Torn Curtain or Topaz.

I haven't seen Hardcore yet - but even its supporters seem to be saying "...If only they bothered to put a good story together..."
Did you find that they focused too much on the mechanics instead of the story and acting?
And if you are going to get the steelbook - the German one is pretty.

Ah, let's say it has a video game story. The best classic adventure games rarely have had that good story (like Uncharted series), but the mood and characters shine. I was perfectly mesmerized at the ending and felt like I've experienced a journey with the main character - a certain sign of a good film. Sure, don't go watching this and expect an excellent story, but an excellent experience. Sharlto Copley is really the only one who has any acting to do and he indeed is fun to watch.

And yeah, the German steelbook looks quite cool! I'll probably end up getting it.

Watched this for the first time yesterday morning. Excellent movie and great story. Would highly recommend giving it a watch if you haven't already.
Great flick! Matthew Vaughn and Neil Gaiman and Robert DeNiro, Ian McKellan, Peter O'Toole! Great combo! It is kind of a worthy companion to Princess Bride.
