Interesting fact about the character of Batman in the Batman Begins film- instead of seeing "The Mask of Zorro" the night his parents are killed (spoilers?) as depicted in the comics, as well as in Batman V. Superman-
Nolan chose for the Wayne's to see "The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Doctor Faustus" instead. Extrapolate from that what you will- but I think that it is an eery form of foreshadowing for the direction that the Nolan Batman films create. ;D

Unpopular opinion, but this is probably my favourite of the trilogy.

This is a very interesting thriller about a killer called the creeper who goes around killing victims without any apparent motive. Rondo Hatton, who played the monstrous Creeper in this film and in House of Horrors(1946), was actually handsome as a young man, but later in life became disfigured by acromegaly, a form of gigantism brought about by unnaturally high levels of human growth hormone produced by a disease of the pituitary gland. What's interesting if you watch the film and see the creeper you'd think it's make up but it's not it's how the actor looked in real life. Because there was any outcry about using a person with such a disfigurement the studio quickly sold the rights to another label and didn't even market it. But this film does give me one insight into films of the time. If you look at the 1954 film Tarantula it opens with a character with the same acromegaly and virtually the same makeup as the actor in The Brute Man. The difference being this time it's make up and not the real thing but it's obvious the director Jack Arnold had seen the Brute Man and was inspired for want of a better word when making the 1954 classic. The film only lasts an hour but it's a nice thriller all the same.

This classic spider flick needs no introduction. A mutant Tarantula goes on the run after being a growth hormone (which is linked into the acromegaly in the film) and goes on the rampage. But don't worry Clint Eastwood is here to save the day........ and I bet you thought he only chased down criminals and hoods in his films. This film has stood the test of time nicely and is probably right now on the list of films being remake by a Hollywood which has run out of ideas......

Great 50's monster movie and one of the best of them. Mutant ants go on the rampage in New Mexico. Great cast, great dialogue and remade as Aliens 1986. The highest grossing film from Warner bros that year......
The old man shouting "Make me a Sargent, give me the booze" is the same old man with the blob on his arm in The Steve McQueen Classic The Blob.

Typical dialogue from the film like when the guard is questioned about the sugar going missing from the train.

Pfah! What kind of sense does that make? Is sugar a rare cargo? Is there a black market for it? Did you ever hear of a fence for hot sugar? If I was gonna make a deal with crooks to steal somethin', it wouldn't be for forty tons of sugar. And I'll swear I didn't hear a thing Friday night.

I still need to check this one out... just waiting for the Premium Collection edition to land in HMV's 2 for £15 offer, then I'll be straight on it! :D

The perfect example of why I always give a movie a second chance... I pretty much loathed this film when it first came out, but after rewatching it tonight, I connected with it so much more. Now it's time for me to upgrade my amaray to FA's steelbook. :D

Outland 1981
Basically High Noon in space starring Sean Connery and none the worse for it. Holds up very very well even in this day of state of the art CGI.

KIngsman The Golden Circle 2017
Basically think of an X rated version of the TV show the Avengers with only Steed and you get the picture. Everyone is on top form including a lovely cameo from a very very well known star. At over 2.5 hours long it never dragged for me and felt way shorter than it was.
