I figured I would start this thread for people to recommend movies, others may not have heard about. So I will start with my first pick.

The Clinic, stars the late Andy Whitfield as a man traveling with his fiance to visit her family for Christmas. They spend a night in a motel, he goes out to look for food. When he comes back. She's gone. This also is an Australian film. So you know it's gotta be good. It's listed as horror, but you could handle DB.

P.S. Human Centipede II is also now available.

Nikita is a great tv show that is on Netflix. Staring Maggie Q and a really cute girl that I don't know the name of. I enjoyed it a lot and have suggested it to others who also loved it.

Great thread, my fiancé and I got stuck the other night after watching Insidious on what to watch!

This thread will come in very handy :)

Waiting For Superman. Documentary on the public school system, sounds boring but VERY good! Another good one is 'Dive!', it's about all of the food Americans waste and people who dumpster dive! :D

A Prophet. It's a foreign film and it's a bit long, but it's probably one of the best movies I've seen. It's mostly dialogue.

IP Man and IP Man 2 :p - The first one is simply awesome.

Check out Harry Brown - Grittiest Michael Cain movie I've seen.

I just got done watching a great flick called "Goon". It stars, Sean William Scott (Thanks JP). He is a really sensitive guy, with a knack for throwing punches. An owner of a Canadian Hockey recruits him to join the team. To literally beat the **** out of people. Very funny moments with lots of blood.

The second one was ok, but the first one is a must see.

Definitely agree there! IP Man is a must see... part 2 is just 'okay'.

I just gone watching a great flick called "Goon". It stars, sorry having a brain fart. Stiffler from American Pie. He is a really sensitive guy, with a knack for throwing punches. Sean William Scott --- great little indie type flic! I actually paid for a VOD rental (first time ever, lol) about a month ago for this, due to great reviews. I'm a little miffed that it's now available on Netflix streaming already. :)

My own recommendation would be Battle Royale. Great Japanese flic... basically, Hunger Games ripped it off. As far as violence goes, lets say Hunger Games is "ET", then BR is "Predator"!! Like Ip Man, there's a sequel also on Netflix, but completely forgettable... the original is the one to see.

Thanks, like I said a total brain fart

Yeah, I just watched that the other night, due to recommendations from other members. They were talking about it, I thought it was a WWE wrestling movie. And you're right the movie kicks ass. The second one did not sound that great.

I recommend "One Week Job". It's a documentary by Sean Aiken. Very fun and entertaining documentary about a guy who doesn't know what he wants to do in life, so in order to find out what he DOESN'T want to do, he gets one job per week for an entire year. 52 jobs.
