It is not the edge of the tape in the copies I inspected. There was 2 lines running across few cms below the edge of the tape and when pressed the line didn't move which means the spine is probably slashed. My judgement could be wrong but that's what I felt.

The security sticker was probably wrapped around twice and you were looking at the bottom layer underneath?

There were some with tape being wrapped twice which was pretty evident but not on some of the copies I was looking at. They were typical of a spine slash but I maybe wrong.

I have to say that this actually a really nice steel, maybe it's not deserving of the content but a nice job has been done. It's one of those that looks a lot better in hand.

This looks pretty good with a nice finish and some cool debossing but the inside is just lazy. If this was available online I would probably grab a copy at £14.99 though, but I don't know if I'll bother going all the way to a store just for this. I didn't like the first film that much, so i'll probably like this one even less.

Just picked this up from HMV Hull today. Plenty left. Quite a nice effort from e-one for their first steelbook release with gloss and deboss! This bodes well for the Riddick steelbook!

The security tape was wrapped around twice on mine, but no spine slash

I did notice on the front and back under the card, some very fine scratches. They weren't deep, but were quite long. I don't know if this was caused by the card. Has anybody else had this problem? I don't really want to take it back if most of them are going to be the same

Just as soon as I got home I put new artwork inside. Seemed a little more fitting than just the title.

Was in HMV at lunchtime. Didn't even know about this steelbook. Saw it on the shelf and loved it. Wasn't really clear how much it was from the display. Complete bargain at £14.99.

Zavvi could learn a lesson in steelbook pricing from HMV.
