Why start with series 10 and not give us the other nine? I swear the BBC haven't got a clue when it comes to releasing things! More's the question, why wasn't this released on Blu-Ray back when the Dvd SteelBook was released?

So, so tempted, but I don't know. My Blu-ray is signed by Lister & Rimmer and I don't usually double dip in the same format. I do have the DVD steelbook though, and a thing of beauty it is.

They are never going to put seasons 1 - 8 on blu ray, so I'd rather have G1 steelbooks for all the Red Dwarf seasons including BTE and X. Or maybe multi season collections (2 seasons a steel), as long as they have the extras discs.

There is no guarantee that that will happen. Besides, you can say what you said about most steelbooks.

As to why Ten and not One, others have explained but its still getting asked so one more time:

Ten was filmed in HD, the only series to be done (not counting Back to Earth) so it makes sense that that should be done first. Should the other seven series be capable of being upscaled, then it would only be done IF this steel sells to show there is interest in Red Dwarf on steelbook format. Basically if you want the show released in this format then you'll have to pony up for this one.

Saying 'Nope I will only buy them when they start at One' will make sure you get none.

Sorry, but that's the way it is.

Yes it will come back as available it's Zavvi mad Stock control System it now automatically make a release list as sold out if release date on website arrives and no actual stock available

When they update a release date its then a matter of then listing it again as available to pre order
Sometimes that's the next day but a few times they forget and does not show as available until after in stock

Would love for steelbooks to come out but I guess a box set will have to do for now. Can't complain at all, waited a long time for this announcement
