Futureshop will be releasing steelbooks version of all RE films inc the CGI film in steelbook form on Aug 27th

OK guys, I stopped at two Walmarts this afternoon. One by my work which has a very small blu-ray section. No sign of them and asked the associates - they couldn't find any either.

Had to pick up some stuff at the hardware store, so I stopped by the Super Walmart close to my house, which has more blus, but they were not there either.

SO, I do live in a sort of "rural" location, but I couldn't spot any sign of Walmart carrying Resident Evil steelbooks at this point.

FS site is back up and I found the individual listings. I've also added a "print screen" of what you see when you visit the "Movies" area of the FS site and then click the little ad that shows the Steelbooks.

Just picked up all three of the live action flicks (i'm not into anime). For those who are taking the trip across the border this weekend to Vancouver some quick tips. Futureshop in Coquitlam has 30+ copies of each. They also have a lot of the following left:

"Twilight+New Moon Double Steel Packs"
"Pirates Of The Caribbean - Dead Man's Chest"
"Clash Of The Titans"
"Harry Potter Iron Book"

The Resident Evil's are Blu Ray Sized with nice artwork on the inside. I'll post hi-res photo's tomorrow.

Went to a Super Wal Mart earlier to see if I could pick up the set but struck out. I'm going to check another Super Wal Mart on Monday over by where I work to see if I can find this. *crossing fingers*[YT][/YT]

I just checked my walmart and they didn't have any. But then again I doubt too many people in my town know what a steelbook is.

I'm hearing they are going to be released on Tuesday, but that doesn't explain how some bought theirs already. I can't believe Wal Mart is going to get these. It makes me wonder if this is going to be a one time thing or something we can expect in the future from wal mart.

Thanks for the additional info darczap - I know that some Walmarts will put things on the shelf over the weekend (early) sometimes. Also, they might have known somebody that was willing to break the street date.

Well, if Walmart is in the blu-ray sized Steelbook game...this just got VERY interesting.

EDIT - I believe that Walmart has gotten DVD sized exclusive steelbooks before, it's just funny that they
are on catalog release with their first foray into blu-ray sized ones.
