Original poll:
Hi guys, I want to let you know that I received an email from Fox France that asked me to vote for the artwork that will be chosen for the Steelbook that comes out in France in December.

Per axcraig and Mams, an e-mail was sent from Fox France, asking which cover customers would prefer, via a vote.

The choices are pictured below. If you had a say, which would you choose?

Seriously, Amazon.fr makes me laught since I'm french speaking and a "fourreau" is more like a "scabbard". A direct translation for slipcover should be "housse" or "enveloppe".
But the french do call slipcover "Fourreau" and they even go futher by calling "fourreau cartonné". I don't understand why although I'm french.

embossed...
debossed...
printed artwork...
3 discs...
inner artwork...
no text in the back...

The french edition FTW :scat:
But the top banner "Bluray+DVD+copie digitale" is
I hope that there's another steelbook edition from another country apart from UK and France.

I prefer that over a rating logo :) I don't mind the banner, but I rather have them put the blu-ray logo banner only instead like Iron Man, Rambo, Wanted, etc like all the top most expensive movie steelbook out there :)

As of now, this is probably the best option for me for one of my best movie of 2011 :scat:

i just order this one then...it seems that every amazon out there is different with their shipping rates...i got this one and super 8 for about 36 each with shipping, this is the first time i order from here, let's see...

Got a shipping confirmation on this - estimated delivery on Dec 23. Merry Christmas to Me :)

Just wanted to mention that since amazon.fr is currently limiting this release to 3x copies, I was curious how many they have left in stock.

It appears they are down to 459 copies at the moment. ;)

I've got to say that I love Amazon!
Seriously. You buy 2-3-4 steelbook from different release date. In my case, Apes + Drive. When passing at the cash, they ask you which option you prefer for shipping. You click to assemble the shipping to save on cost. Which they do.

But, you discover that they ship separatly (at no extra cost) so that you receive your steel when they release! So no 2-3 months waiting!

Isn't that wonderfull???

IMO, the banner is a small detriment. The steelbook has everything else going for it (embossing/debossing, inside art, film cells, and great art).

I totally agree with you there...

people complain about the banner while the top 5 or 10 most expensive blu-ray steelbook consists of banner :)

I'm not from UK nor from France, and my money goes to the French version being the better steelbook in my opinion. :scat: If UK had produce a better steelbook, then I would have put money on them, but they didn't :)

anyhow, people buy what makes them happy. I'll be happy with the french order :)
