I think I will just pick up a standard copy when it is half the price and replace the useless DVD in my Robocop Steel that I already own.

Cancelled the steelbook pre order and gone with the US amaray. It will take longer to get here, but I can wait. I have the original steelbook, so will pop the 4K version in place of the DVD.

Looking forward to seeing the improvements!

Thought I'd just throw in some side by side comparisons of the 4K transfer against the old BD (found these on the net):

Thanks for the photos Man of Steel the picture quality upgrade looks fantastic

I have the steelbook on order from Amazon UK
I'm keeping my order
I have the previous steelbook but I keeping my order as I want both steelbooks

Looking forward to getting this

I believe Best Buy are offering the regular version for 7.99 too, and its availible now in stores.

Now that is some hideous macroblocking EEK!

It's not marcoblocking

Robocop features a new form of copy protection that hasn't been cracked yet so taking screen caps directly off the disc is a tough cookie until the code has been cracked and capture software has been updated. Hence the distortion in the picture

The source of these screen caps (over at another forum) confirmed this

Was just about to post the same thing.
