Yeah that looks great. Debossed title and dare I say it matte background with spot gloss on robo and police car.

I knocked this up quickly:

Gloss treatment on the chrome and it would be a classic.

That would be amazing! Why do so many Blu-ray designers feel the need to give us something new instead of sticking to the iconic original artwork? The design they've chosen is crap - they're obviously going for The Dark Knight with the sparks and the standing in the middle of a teal street. Like others have said he looks like a giant and the spine is reversed.

The reason is because collectors constantly ask for it. If amaray artwork is used many collectors moan about it being lazy even if it looks great.

Yup, exactly! They can't please everyone unfortunately... some will love it, some will hate it. That's what makes it more interesting though imo. :D

Not sure whether it's been mentioned in the comments above, but the release date is the 27th of January 2014, which is the week before the new reboot film opens in the UK cinemas

Yes, but had that mock-up design ever been used on an Amaray release?

The last time I saw that image used was on my old Virgin VHS release.

I'd assume collectors prefer original poster art, rather than the photoshop crap we get today.

price on this one will dip down to around £14.99 reckon its not an exclusive after all, that or they will find it will not sell at those prices. it maybe limited but i bet run is not that limited as is being split across retailers after all.
