Again, manufacturers can't win. We moaned that the transfer sucked on the first one and when they sort it out, we moan about repeats. XD

Good news about the new transfer. Wait and see how it all turns out. Might just buy the new disc and put it in the old steelbook.

This is great news. It great to see remastered versions of excellent films getting steel treatment like this & Rocky. I'd rather have top quality vintage 5* films getting steelbook than some newer crap films.

im in for this.
a decent master, with extras (current uk disc has none, so had to keep the dvd) and a steelbook ideally with original font (and would be awesome to see original poster art)
they should have waited for the remaster before doing a steelbook

I wouldn't mind the re-release if they were actually taking the opportunity to get the new steel right. Not sure why it's so seemingly difficult to choose the one cover that everyone wants:

High gloss with ridiculous amounts of shine-through is plain and simply the only way to do it. No idea what they're thinking here or with the last one.

Yes that would look outstanding.
Mostly, the original artworks are the best.

I hope MGM makes new releases of Platoon, Windtalkers(Directors Cut) and Silence of the Lambs with a stunning new 4K transfer !

Now that's what I'm talking about! :scat:

I'm embarrassed by all the moaners and whiners in this thread, do people not know how to read anymore? It's the REMASTERED disc.

Personally, I didn't get the previous steel because I knew there would be a remaster eventually.

I picked up the previous steelbook and will also get this. I don't mind double-dipping for such an awesome film... I might even start a little Robocop collection anyway. :D

Hmm... Interesting. I never picked up the first steelbook as I thought it looked a bit dull.
Though I'm a bit surprised it may get another edition, it's good to see that it will come with a remastered disc.
