Forget the spine, the fact that the right leg is on the left and vice versa is far more off putting.

Anyway if the spine bothers you just slot it in upside down.

a reversed spine would never stop me from buying a steel, its not ideal but it really doesn't bother me, lots of great steels with reversed spines ppl r missing out on

The spine doesn't bother me that much - I'd prefer it to go the same way as my other steels as it looks right when they're all lined up on the shelf. I wouldn't turn it upside down because then the studio logo etc is upside down... I really need to get out more :hilarious:

I have this on order Day one it went live from Amazon

Spine wrong way round not that a big issue with me yes I would have preferred if it was the correct way
Most likely what happened was the artwork was created by someone from Europe were the spine is that way for them
Fox UK ordered the steelbook (Same artwork all of Europe) but did not notice it would be a problem for UK or it was to late to change it when they noticed the difference

What I Like is this
It is Remastered
Its Glossy :LOL::LOL::LOL: :thumbs:
It looks fantastic to me and that's what counts in my opinion
Others may like or not that's there choice

Looking Forward to getting this

Zavvi sent notice...

Zavvi sent me an order status update saying sorry for the delay, will send it out ASAP, blah blah blah...as long as it arraives mint they can take their time...no problem...anyone else get that email???

They really boned up with the spine and artwork. At least it's glossy and remastered, which is a big step in the right direction. Still a pass from me.

A glossy turd is still a glossy turd, spine and artwork are shocking but...I would rather have a crap steelbook than an amaray.

If I find it too hard to deal with puting it on the shelf the wrong way then I'll just take the disc out and swap the DVD out from my other Robocop steel.

Think of all the European collectors saying "finally! A UK steelbook with the title the right way at last!"

;)

Well, not all :hilarious:

At least every Italian, Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian steelbook I've ever seen, has the spine text from top to bottom.

Is this a cultural thing with roots in how "real" books have their spine text oriented? Can any of our French, German or Czech members comment on this?

I don't mind the spine text orientation too much myself (I'll just put it next to my German steelbooks), but it definitely would've been much nicer to continue with all UK steelbooks having the same spine text orientation. :(

Edit: In my small sample of German steelbooks, some actually have the spine text from top to bottom, while the others have it from bottom to top...
