I've just shot Amazon a quick e-mail regarding the damage. I no longer sent it than they replied telling me they're sending out a new copy via standard delivery so I receive it as quick as possible and they told me to keep the original copy.

Wait for the amaray to come down to what? It's £8.99 or 3 for £20 in HMV

The hmv I was in didnt have the new version on amaray so could not comment on the price so assumed it was over a tenner, plus i only by steelbooks so 3 for 20 on amaray is no good for me personally , but cheers for the advice.

They do that sometimes tell you to keep your original copy
I have that happen on 3 occasions also had this happen
The Universal Monsters box set I complained about the box set packaging it arrived with a tear in the box set and got a refund and told to keep my copy
Got it for Free

But my last Amazon order I had a problem with Predator 3D was missing the slipcover
I had to send back original copy and they sent out a replacement which had the slipcover

I bought the amaray in my local HMV for £6.99 today. The steel was £21.

Check out the pics I posted on the previous page. The back cover of mine had 2 marks similar to Zavvis Evil Dead/Evil Dead 2 release.

Superb steel, you forget how good this film was/is.

The picture quality is excellent & the special features are a nice added bonus.

Overall a great package & a reminder how good films used to be.....

I got my Robocop from Amazon it arrived in mint condition
No spine slash or any marks
It arrived in perfect condition

Only problem is upside down spine text but that's we already knew about and was a design error

Only kidding, it was 'The World's End' steelbook, it came back in stock (was a return I'm sure), I complained about dents and Amazon messed up and refunded me despite not asking for a refund, so had to pay them back the refunded money. Sold on eBay, far easier IMO

Picked up the final 2 copies from my local HMV. Was surprised they were still in stock.
Both still in mint condition with no tears to shrink.
Bit more expensive but after my latest purchase from Amazon, I don't feel comfortable ordering from them again in the near future.

my copy arrived from zavvi on wednesday. paid £20 for it, slightly higher than i wanted to pay, but amazon's stock was under investigation at the time so i couldn't buy it from them.
great steelbook!!

Watched this the other night, the remaster is very good I must admit. Enjoyed the extra's too as I haven't owned this since my Criterion laserdisc days
