I find Disney to be the most disappointing company in general when it comes to home video releases.
Firstly the whole titleless spines. Yes, we know the reasoning behind it, but when so many other companies put titles on the spine regardless of a countries native language it's a pity Disney didn't for such a long time, here in the UK at least. I own many steelbooks from France and Germany, some exclusives to those respective countries and most of them have the titles in English on them even if text on the back isn't. At least this is one area that has hopefully been resolved for the UK.
Secondly, the choice of artwork. Theatrical poster art seems to be far more common these days on amaray releases, yet for some reason many companies, Disney included, shy away from using it on their steelbook releases, esecially for non-catalog titles. Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Rogue One all had a vast selection of great posters to choose from, but in some cases Disney chose to use awful designs (some worse than others).
GotG - great poster - terrible (and not even screen accurate) Walkman design
Avengers: AoU - great poster - bland 'A' design
Ant-Man - great poster - terrible (and again, not screen accurate) SSD card design
And so on and so on.
Finally, why oh why do they keep releasing the same old steelbooks? Just look at the Disney Classics range (and Pixar). Many of us probably own the original 35 or so from Zavvi, but now we're getting the same titles again only this time with bonus lenti (and spine title in Frozen's case). Fine, do all 35 again, it's not like I'm going to buy them, but how about doing the missing ones too while you're at it. Basil: The Great Mouse Detective, Lilo and Stitch, Bolt, Meet the Robinsons and the rest would be most appreciated.
Anyway, I'll stick with this release as I'm quite lazy with my steelbook purchases (generally the first or cheapest version), but part of me will mourn 'what could have been' with the design, just like I did with all the others I've mentioned.
