I don't think it would, considering it's an Iron Pack with a very limited run. I don't believe a Steelbook would do much to hurt it's desirability.

I have no interest in the '96 remake

The '68 original with Olivia Hussey is truly deserving of the term "classic". Amazingly it's not even out on blu-ray yet would buy the steelbook in a heartbeat

Depends on the artwork. I love the US slipcover so it'd have to be even shinier and more embossed!

Edit: changed my mind. There's no beating the holofoil slipcover.
