SYNOPSIS: In this second of Francis Ford Coppola's back-to-back screen adaptations of novels by S. E. Hinton, the grand romanticism of The Outsiders was flipped to create an expressionist, monochrome vision of youthful passion and melancholy, and became one of Coppola's most personal and dazzling works.

Against a run-down, industrial Tulsa, Oklahoma, Coppola presents a vivid portrait of troubled teenage gang leader Rusty James (Matt Dillon) as he struggles with cohorts, rival gangs, his frustrated girlfriend Patty (Diane Lane), his estranged father (Dennis Hopper), and the return of his idolised older brother The Motorcycle Boy (Mickey Rourke).

An audacious depiction of gang violence, dead-end lives, and the ties that bind, Rumble Fish remains a cult favourite and features magnificent cinematography by Stephen H. Burum, a Golden Globe-winning score by Stewart Copeland, and a remarkable cast that also includes Nicolas Cage, Chris Penn, Tom Waits, and Laurence Fishburne. The Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present the world-première release of Rumble Fish on Blu-ray & Blu-ray SteelBook.

SPECIAL BLU-RAY EDITION FEATURES:
  • New HD transfer of the film officially licensed from Universal and presented in 1080p in its original aspect ratio
  • Original stereo and 5.1 surround soundtracks, presented in DTS-HD Master Audio
  • Music and effects track
  • Audio commentary by Francis Ford Coppola
  • On Location in Tulsa, a video piece featuring new and vintage interviews and behind-the-scenes footage

It's not that early really, it's due for release on Monday. I ordered from HMV so I would expect to get this by the weekend, but with their recent service, it seems I'd be extremely lucky if that happened now.

HMV still haven't shipped mine and it's due for release tomorrow. Their site says 'now shipping' but my order is still stuck in the pre-order stage. They used to be reliable for pre-orders but they can't even get this right. No wonder HMV are going down the drain. Then you've got the stupid prices aswell; this one has increased to an eye watering £27, nearly double what I pre-ordered it at. I thought VAT was 20% not 100%

It's because of the click and collect service. After the initial pre-order stage, they put everything up to the instore price now.

They were slow with the last 2 MoC releases as well, as were The Hut group.

My copy finally arrived today, only nine days after the release date. It looks nice but has this weird paint issue (i've noticed it on other Eureka Steelbooks too). I'm guessing they all have similar issues, so there's no point in returning it.

It's possible to order straight from Eureka with no shipping charges.
And they even ship earlier than the release date.
I already received mine last week.

Mine arrived on Saturday from HMV in a bubble wrap envelope, very damaged of course. It looks as though it was stepped on. That"s how bent it is. Then today i finally received my copy of the Hunger Games steelbook also from HMV in another envelope. So now i have to damaged steelbooks i need reshipped from HMV. Has anyone here in the states had to deal with damage issues from HMV? And how good are they on customer service & answering back emails?

Maybe you can send them pictures first and do not have to send them back?
I only had a dinged SB (DRIVE) once from HMV and as they could not replace, they gave me a online voucher!
Response takes 1-2 days i think (if i remember right!)

Thanks for the information MK50. For now i just sent in my email with the damage issues. HMV sent me a reply back saying sorry for the inconvenience & they issued me a claim #. At least i got an answer back from them. We'll see what happens from there.

Got an email from HMV today. They gave me a confirmation # & ask that i send back my damaged steelbooks Rumble Fish & The Hunger Games. HMV gave me the option of a full refund or reshipment of both. I told them reshipped. But this time in a box & not some flimsy Jiffy bubble envelope.
