Update: Release date of the Hardbox edition (E3) will be different to the individual releases (E1+E2) since production of the hardbox requires more time as its a hand made product and FilmArena needs to reserve more time to finish the previous box editions. but wouldn't it make more sense to send them to only the people who are ''watching'' the thread ? for exemple for a kimchi or FA or HDzeta release at 300 units when a big part goes also to the retailer website, to announce a GB to all members for exemples 150 copies or so, won't this make it a blood bath and cause even more frustration ?

I have absolutely no way to know who is watching and who is not watching this thread.

And I have no control over how many copies or not there are available....so not sure what you want me to do there, lol

I think its a neat ida, but sending reminders of Group Buys to ''ALL'' members will just make things even worse than how they are right now.

More people are gonna miss out not being able to enter the GB with so many members alerted than when it is right now people watch their own threads that they are interested in and do their own follow up.

To send massive alert for GB to everyone even more people are gonna miss out I believe.

I am not upset, I think it's a neat idea, but to focus it more towards those who are actively interested would be something more idealistic. But the Gb qualification of 20 post to enter a GB was lifted, so those should receive the reminder as well wouldn't it ? ...If they can enter a GB without having a post count of 20+

I only sent to members that are active enough to be on here more than once a month.

But I'm really done with going back and forth on this one

But that was my point, for those who are watching threads they are interested in I understand, but with many GB being so limited most of the time to send a massive reminder to almost all members, will created havoc. Don't get me wrong I wish I had received an alert for some group buys that I missed. But isn't it also part of our collecting world that we have to look at what we are interested and do our own follow up. If everything is handed on a plate, yes it can be useful to some members on the other hand it will become a nova situation with the server like the Martian did.

No for sure its not because we receive a reminder that we are automatically interested, I just thought it would make more sense to send them to members that have clicked the ''WATCH'' thread as when we are interested in a release it is before a GB happens and at least those interested will have a fair chance. To massively send out it is what I was wondering, but like andy said it is not possible. So we'll see how it goes, not just for FAC but other ones as well...I am interested in Mad Max so it will be nice to know when, but I did click the ''watch'' thread that was only my point I was trying to inquire about.
