That was the last vacation I was on and I wish I could go back asap. If nobody has been I would strongly recommend. Am looking to go somewhere warmer this winter...any suggestions?

I spent my entire time on foot for the most part, trying to see every neighborhood. (Those hills get to you eventually) I did do a bicycle ride across the Golden Gate to Sausalito, which was awesome.

I live in Sweden, and my dream is to visit San Francisco sometime. I have an old classmate that works as Au Pair there, and she has told me a lot about the city. SF seems amazing, hope you can upload some pictures from your trip :)

I love going to SF for the day every now and then.

Somewhere warm this winter? México or Puerto Rico :D

My girlfriend and I went to PR last year in fact. We stayed in Old San Juan, some small town right outside the rainforest, and Vieques Island. Such an awesome time. Would like to go back, but would prefer to try somewhere new.

I'm kinda thinking San Diego because flights aren't as pricy as some other places.

I'm surprised to see people liking San Francisco...I guess I have been living in the Bay Area far too long that I don't see anything special about it.

San Diego...if you do go, then you gotta check out the annual event every year at Comic Con...biggest event every year.

Love San Fran-can't wait to get back. On our trip a few years ago, we went to house used in 'The Birds'-love that movie and it was a very cool experience to see it:) Very fun city!

If you go very often, I could see it getting boring/nothing special :p I live an hour away but I don't go too often, so I still enjoy it when I do.

I want to try to go to that this year! Looks like a lot of fun :D

I'm thinking of taking a mini vaca. to San Fran this spring/summer. Any places of interest I should check out?

There are lots of places to see/do. Pier 39 and Fisherman's wharf are near each other. Lots of shops/restaurants and street performers to see around there. There's also Chinatown which is a few miles from there. Coit tower and Lombard street (the crooked street) are within that vicinity too.

A different area from above there is also Golden Gate park, which is HUGE! Lots of different area's and places to see/do there. Botanical garden, Japanese tea garden, couple of museums, etc. Golden gate bridge also. And here's a tip if you go to that...When you're already in SF and driving towards the bridge, you'll see an exit/turn off that says it is the last one before crossing the bridge. Take that exit and find a parking spot there. You can then walk across the bridge to the other side which has a visiting center and stuff like that. If you were to drive across, you'll have to pay the toll to enter/drive back in to SF ;)
