To put a “film” down for being grainy seems silly to me. Film IS grainy; that’s how the picture is made up from strips of “film”. You cant just crank up the exposure on a dial like modern digital movies. in low light conditions you have to use higher rated film that is more grainy. Brighter conditions allow for slower film with fine grain. 24 frames of film per second means even on a still shot there are 24 different “photographs”. If the new 4K scan has been done properly you get a beautiful glistening picture. I love the look of older films in 4K, they are a true joy to watch. And I can honestly say this movie looks wonderful. They’ve done a great job.
