Whatever one thinks about this release it's good to have a choice for the first time . . . and incidentally exactly what EBlu should be doing until they find their feet - in other words, accepting no more than 1,000 from a brand new steelbook run and pimping them out for those that consider a steelbook undressed without a jacket and accessories.
As everyone knows this film has had heavy exposure (for the type of film that it is) . . . one could even say over-exposure . . . with at least 4 releases in steelbook packaging . . . including a Reel Heroes edition, an Iconic Art edition (and a very smart HMV slipcase Original Poster Art Amaray edition with artwork not dissimilar to that on the steelbook) . . . even a boxset with two from the Cornetto Trilogy (lol).
Only thing tying each set together being the art . . . films pretty random.
U.K. Original Poster Art (Aug. 2013) -- U.S. Reel Heroes SB (June 2013) --U.S. Iconic Art SB (Nov 2014) ---- U.K. SB (Dec. 2010) ------------ U.K. SB (Feb. 2013) ---------- U.K. (Dec. 2010) even released in a boxset with HOT FUZZ and SotD
.............
-----
1) Reel Heroes (SCOTT PILGRIM etc.) - all also released in the U.K. in Amarays with Reel Heroes artwork on the slipcovers and on the wraparound data sheets
2) Iconic Art (SCOTT PILGRIM etc.)
3) Original Poster Art (SCOTT PILGRIM etc.)
Now I just need to sit down and watch it for the first time (lol)
