After seeing the pics from FA on page 17 I've been looking forward to receiving this. My copy arrived today and although I haven't unsealed it as yet, there appears to be very little, if any, texturing on the reverse of the slip.

The front slip has embossed lettering and the flame is also embossed with some texturing around it. However, as mentioned before, I can't see or feel any special finish on the reverse. As a comparison, the texturing on the slip of Edward Scissorhands is quite noticeable even when sealed.

I'm still happy to have this release and it's a nice package, but I can't help feeling a little disappointed. Perhaps my expectations were too high. @Actarus have you unsealed your copy yet?

It should be the cardboard card with the numbering card on it that Filmarena always has on the backside of the slip. Behind it you should find all the texturing and bossing you'd expect.

I don't own this one myself sadly, but i'm pretty sure thats it.

Thank you @DaneMB that's good to know . I don't always remove the shrinkwrap completely so I've been missing out  :bag:.

You're welcome dude. I can't ever keep mine sealed :) I just use those scf2 protective covers for my FAC full slips.

Now enjoy that seventh son release! I'm so jealous! Now i've got As Above, Elektra ánd this one to hopefully find at a somewhat reasonable price someday (n);)

Just opened my Sicario and Seventh Son. Yes it's true about the cardboard card as all the beauty is behind it, on the back of the full slip. Just as with Edward, you'll only see it in it's full glory once you remove the card from the back. Both the scissorhand and especially the butterfly. They sure did a great job with this Sevent Son. I couldn't be any happier. The staff on the front looks really nice also. There are some pretty cool pictures in the booklet also and all the cards are nice. I haven't yet seen the film, but I try to check it out asap.

I use often scf4 because it's sometimes a snug fit with scf2 and kinda tricky to close. I also find it easier to take out and put back in with scf4. Seventh Son probably goes nicely with scf2, but now I only had scf4 available.

@lenticularis I thought the same as you when I received mine but I quickly remembered that what we see on back artwork is simply a j-card so the numbering card does not damage the back art of the actual fullslip. I will open mine shortly to see that amazing treatment on the back art of the fullslip. but to see the treatment on the slip you need to unseal to remove the cardboard that the numbering card is attached to it. I know I am late in giving you that info as previous members already did

@Hamill82 @Actarus Many thanks for the info and advice . I feel a bit silly for not realising that there was a backing card; no wonder I felt a bit disappointed . I should have known FA wouldn't disappoint and this will soon be opened and enjoyed, along with some others :hungry:. I have a few SCF4s and SCF2s so I will experiment to see which is best . Thanks again guys for your help, which is always appreciated .

Always a pleasure to help fellow members, especially as nice as you are ;) I felt silly as well until I realized :joy:

Use a SCF2 as@hamill32 stated , it fits perfectly and it's not a very tight fit, just Perfect ! I will also open mine today  ..but true I started to use SCF4s ''for the copies I open'' as they slide ''in and out'' easier and we avoid the micro scratches if we take the Fullslip ''in and out'' of the SCF often to admire it.

So for me, the Opened copies I have now started to use SCF4s. If I keep it sealed, and it fits in an SCF2 I will use that one as I won't be sliding it ''in and out'' often.

dunno if I explain correctly (n):dunno:

Next in line for the "horrendous no-title-on-spine steelbook with a beautiful slip treatment" should be White House Down :rofl::rofl:

Wow is this an HDN cover up? My posts keep getting deleted on this thread. @Apollon @Noodles what is going on? A member posted a picture with 7 copies of The Last Stand and 4 copies of Seventh Son and when I asked how they managed to acquire all of those, the posts were deleted. Seems like a mod is trying to cover up some activities...

Nobody is covering anything up. We don't allow pictures of multiple copies of rare items. With hard to obtain items like this it is not fair that people who couldn't get a copy have to look at other people who have got hold of multiples. Your post was deleted also so we could keep the thread clean and stay on topic.:)

Ok thanks. I really wish I knew how to cheat the FilmArena system like others are doing.

These accounts should be banned from the forum. Simple as.

I don't know why it's allowed when it's done so blatantly and these members are using the forum to obtain at least SOME of these copies. The MODS have the power, but they just seem to let it keep happening. When it's highlighted your post just gets deleted because you're 'going off topic' (as this post will be no doubt)

I could count at least 5 regular members who are openly scalping.

I'm not saying xxx is one of those. Maybe he/she got extra copies for friends/ other members.

But again, how is a member allowed to do this?
