I really like the movie and this set is awesome but I am wondering if there is a chance for me to be on the list

The reveal that the mystery title would be "Seventh Son" came as a big surprise to me because that title was originally scheduled for release as part of the FAC last year, but was cancelled because the local Czech distributor wasn't prepared to include the 3D disc. There was even a GB here which also got cancelled.

Strange how FA's original concerns have now been brushed under the carpet as this still doesn't include a 3D disc.

The listing for the Quarter Slip version has now disappeared from the FA site so I suspect that this is a move to clear unsold stock. It certainly worked in the case of "The Last Stand". It does make me wonder how many other tiles which FA is having difficulty shifting will get this treatment. Certainly a good marketing tactic on their part.

How much as i love FAC, i have all releases except for AASB and elektra, this really does feel like just a way to move leftover stock.

I do think it's cool that Filmarena takes the time to make a goodlooking premium package of this, but it is just so random. Especialy with all the yet unreleased titles we are all waiting for.

I really hope this won't happen too much with random older titles. It blew my mind when FA announced upcoming FAC releases of shawshank redemption and papillon among others. I hope they'll keep on to focus mostly on awesome new releases or on older movies that are generally loved by a lot of people.

I have never heard anyone name the seventh Son as a "must see" ;)

That being said, like with Fantasic Four, i sometimes hate being such a completionist, but i love FAC, so i'm gonna try my luck on the waiting list tonight :D

One disc, no lenticular magnet, not a new film and not a new steelbook either: it should NOT be 799 CZK. Again, this is overpriced, 599 CZK was the correct price here!

Also I don't think many people would say it's a good film, and I'm quite confident FilmArena could not sell this steelbook on its own, so they're adding a full slip with an "extra limited" print run. But they could have the decency to price it accordingly with the factors previously stated. :bored:

I love FAC editions very much, but this time it's possible I can't justify this- if I snag a Star Wars TFA at Novamedia tomorrow then it's a definite no, gotta watch my finances.

Yup. Along with The Last Stand, the ultra-limited release quantity seems to be mainly just because that's how many leftover steelbooks they are trying to clear out of the warehouse. I find it harder to get excited about FAC releases with WWA, as their pre-condition for many FAC releases seems to be, "well, what steelbooks do we have left in stock?"

Maybe this was mentioned & I missed it so sorry if I did... Is that another titleless spine?

If so it would be nice if FAC offered spine stickers similar to what Kimchi did with The Martian.
