Loads of FAC and Asian premium WWA Steels are matte and priced nearly twice as this.. Seems to be little or no complaints but the expectations automagically become.sky high when it comes to UK retailers.

I don't buy those either.

It's also the design. A large solid block of colour looks a lot worse matte than something that has a more varied image.

I don't want to get into this too much as it's off topic for Shawn of the Dead, but I agree that Dredd has been done to death worldwide (same with the Marvel and Terminator franchises).

We really need some polls at some point to give a clearer picture of what IS going to be popular among fans, as this thread is going to descend into anarchy with people just blurting out random requests for EB editions...

Taxes may be weird, but they are as inevitable as death.

As VAT is not collected in EU countries for goods exported outside the EU, it's up to the local tax laws and regulations of the buyer's country whether VAT (or similar tax or customs duties) are collected at the border.

Most likely buyers outside the UK but within the EU will pay the highest prices, as the shipping costs are higher and we'll also pay VAT. This might even get a nod of approval from @lgans316

Mind you, I'm not complaining, as costs for importing items are simply part and parcel of this hobby. One just makes choices on when to buy and when not to.

This is a fine looking release from EverythingBlu; I'm definitely interested

P.S. For the first few visits at the store I kept seeing the web site URL as "sod everything"

It's nice to see a UK retailer doing one of these editions, but since it's only spot gloss, I'll be passing. For this sort of price, I expect full gloss, especially on artwork that has a big section of one colour, which always looks bad when it's matte (I assume the spot gloss will be on Shaun and the hands and maybe the title).

Hello there,

The edition with Shaun on the front with Liz & Ed is the Lenticular edition and will feature Spot Gloss & Embossing to the vinyl pieces on the back.

As for the steelbook our hands were tied other than we could rotate the artwork. De-bossing is present on the title and All matte finish.

The Full Slip will feature:

spot gloss & embossing to the tie, name badge & title
Foiled blood stain
High Build UV to the shirt lines
De-bossed & spot gloss to lettering on the back art

Pretty topped out with details.

I know there's a ton of versions out there already but I'd really like @EverythingBlu to consider producing a Dredd steel in the future.
The U.K has been poorly served, with only the Zavvi steel made available, which was a bit of a misfire!
Exclusive, newly commissioned art would be fantastic and it being a comic book title, they could really go to town on the packaging!

Personally I wouldn't want to see another edition, it's been done to death, but I know @Ashisarobot is a HUGE Dredd head, so I know if it was to happen, there will be at least one happy ninja

Yes to this! Think of all the money they can save by not having to use any colours (except a dash of red of course) a very economical release

We have had issues with Royal Mail before and not sure if they will be used. Without a booklet yes they are thinner but really this is just the normal size of a blu-ray with a slip.

Think it will be more like novas o rings which are sturdy. But this is a side slip I think.
Haven't seen zavvis in hand but I hear they are very thin

I hope anyway.

I'll test the waters with this release and going by quality of it I'll happily continue with the films that I'm a fan of or slips that absolute wow me

I'm going for the box on this one and hopefully will do the same on hot fuzz and worlds end providing they happen but I won't one click all the time

Our slipcases should NOT be compared to the recent Zavvis lol. Please try and speak with someone who owns the Killer Klowns slip we did. The only comments here on our Killer Klowns have been very positive. Its a high quality slip.
