First off, I would like to say well done @EverythingBlu on your big adventure into the Steelbook premium market. I wish you all the best.

As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, your timing is a little awkward though as a lot of us are feeling the pinch in the already oversaturated market trying to keep up. So much so for me infact that it came to a confrontation with my wife earlier this month about how much I've spent in the last few months alone. Unfortunately, I have to massively cut back this year and so I'm forced to pass on this. Although it's one of my favourite movies :( As I said, bad timing (for me anyway)

I wanted to ask you, do we know how much shipping will be to Ireland (or the EU) yet? I see the UK shipping price mentioned a few times in the thread but nothing for anywhere else.

Would be great if you guys could convince him to oversee a release of a Blu Ray SPACED steelbook........ :p

Hello, price to Ireland will be around £9.95 tracked and insured. Thats up to 3 single editions or a blu box + 1 single edition in a single parcel.

Thanks,
EverythingBlu

So payment taken upfront in Jan and the release will be in April then?

Yes, unless everything does go smoothly and we may pull the release date forward.

Thanks,
EverythingbBlu

Whoah!
Back the **** up!

You are asking us to fork out the money in the first week of January ( the worst time of the year) and we may not see the product until April!

I was initially pretty excited about this release but now I will pass as I won't support this sort of practice.

+1. I am fine with a month waiting at max but nearly 3 months wait is ridiculous. Are we allowed to cancel after ordering? If not I think you can easily get into trouble with trading standards I suppose.

Hello,

of course you can cancel after ordering. We have explained why payment is upfront and why there is a lengthy pre-order to release date period. The release date may be moved forward. It's simply to make sure we run a smooth operation the first time round.

We are staying out of the same circle movies that we are regularly seeing in the market as much as possible. We have tonnes of things in our schedule to actually give the community a chance with what they want to see.

Thanks,
EverythingBlu
Great news. Would love to see you tackle some 80s scifi like Running Man, Predator, Escape From New York, Dune..

Thanks @EverythingBlu for adding something to the seemingly endless stream of WWA. Steelbooks are becoming so commonplace they have began to feel like the new amarays. I for one am happy to hunt down exclusives worldwide because that was half of the fun in the first place. Would you be opposed to starting a EverythingBlu suggestion thread?

I hope this release sells out, but not too quickly for me to get a copy! I'm all for more European fancy releases, and ecstatic that it's from the UK. A great choice of movie, probably one of my most watched in the last 15 years. I have the old play.com steel, but will treasure this.

I also have no issues with the advance payment, why would you, just organise your money outgoings in a better way. If you really want a release, you'll find a way to get it. We're all adults, well, mostly.
