To be fair to Hermes I have sent over 100 parcels with them in the past and I have had no problems with them, and these are not Steelbooks but very fragile model cars in which I also collect, well tell a lie I had once a damage parcel, but my fault as I didn't wrap it very well. I'll say to @EverythingBlu if they use them to wrap it bomb proof then we should have no problems

Its not a case of "if" they are using them as if you put add your details to the checkout it comes up "Hermes tracked and signed", doesn't promote confidence considering all the negative reviews Hermes gets, that and you can get Royal Mail second class signed for about 50p more, and that's a non business rate so if sending in bulk I imagine would be even cheaper, and Royal Mail is far more reliable

If no one is at home the first time round, does Hermes not try and re-schedule for another delivery time like other couriers (DHD, UPS etc....)?

Depends mate. Sometimes I get a poor child-like hand written card which I can't read saying it has to be re-arranged, or they just throw it over the back gate leaving it exposed. I've even had a parcel left on my driveway from them!

I personally hate Hermes like most on here and only had a small amount of successful deliveries

My last about 3 months ago was a absolute disgrace and was thrown over the back gate in the end completely crushed too!

I've had it a few times. Also once I had some clothes delivered by asos and they chucked them over the back, I was at work and my mum got in before me and let the dogs out, I came home to p*ss all over my delivery bag - hate delivery folk chucking stuff over my back gate for both reasons. Not the first time that's happened either Lol (f*cking dogs and Hermes!)

Just hope this is all good in the mail

What if you're not home all week. They will try 3 times and send the parcel back. There is no way to contact them or collect from a depot.
Their customer service is a pile of steaming dogshit.

There is a way to contact them on their website but they take ages to reply anyway and yeah useless

So if you are out or at work when it's being delivered and you know it's being delivered that day because you should get a email to say "it's out for delivery" and you contact them then you won't get a reply for a few days which defeats the object of contacting them for that particular delivery. And their replies are always stupid

Also, is Hermes just a UK service? I'm not aware of ever receiving anything from them here in Ireland in my many years collecting......
We should be ok in Rep of Ireland
Delivery will be most likely with Nightline or Fastway and even possible An Post

I had Hermes Courier items before and was Nightline most times used when arrived in Ireland

The Nightline Group works closely with a number of trade partners in the UK including UK Mail, Hermes and Collect+

Agree with everything you said. In addition there is no way to contact them . After 3 failed deliveries they just send the package back to the sender. Good luck to anyone who works during the day and therefore not at home. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM A COMPANY THAT USES HERMES. Are you listening @EverythingBlu

They threw 4 out of 5 parcels over our gate even though I was in 5 out of 5 of those occasions .

IF our Rabbits had have been out it could have killed them . Luckily our run lid was down and it broke the fall of the parcels one was a heavy wooden shelf for the Chinchilla's house .

The BEST way to complain or get some sence out of them is Facebook messenger . Since I went apepoo
At them thire a knock or left next door EVERY Time :) .
