While I did not place an order due to the high shipping fee (i live in the U.S.) , I do appreciate their attempts at quality control. If the product they received from their resource is not up to snuff then @EverythingBlu is doing the right thing by putting off the shipping to their customers. If they didn't stand firm and insure the product was right, then purchasers would receive product not up to their standards. I would have to imagine that if that transpired, then everythingblu would get destroyed on boards like this, and their rep would be severely damaged.

I'd rather wait a longer time to get quality product, then get something not to my liking. I do, however, appreciate the urgency to receive this set. Looks quite stellar.

So what was the shipping cost to the USA?

£15 or £16 for a boxset sounds right to me. Not every retailer can offer 99p + 20 % of the purchase price postage like Zavvi does lol.
Fixed that for you, mate :) Zavvi's UK prices include 20% VAT, yet the same prices are charged from international customers.

Oh god Zavvi's shipping I'm really surprised I didn't have more steelbooks damaged then I did when I use to buy from Zavvi. I'm sure EverythingBlu will ship these just as good as the other Premium shops. It cost us in the States $22.50 just for postage to mail a Premium.

But you rarely get stung with customs as an EU buyer which should include the VAT anyway. EU buyers benefit a lot.
I'm not sure what you are saying here. EU buyers benefit zip, zero, nothing at all.

Zavvi's shipments to EU customers (outside of the UK) don't include VAT. The shipping label explicitly specifies that VAT is not included in the item price.

Customs charges me the local VAT for shipments from Zavvi when the value exceeds 22 EUR, the current taxable limit for shipments arriving from outside EU. And Guernsey is not part of the EU.

In the extremely rare cases when Zavvi ships from somewhere else than Guernsey (Schiedam in Netherlands or from the UK), I don't get taxed by customs, because the items are sent from an EU country.

Interestingly enough, with Zavvi shipments from Schiedam, the shipping label has no information about the item value or VAT. But as the item has been sent from an EU country, I don't get taxed by customs.

We already had this discussion before, I will contact you on PM and break it all down why I believe EU customers benefit on free zavvi shipping
