just my 2 cents...I think we should give EB a break, its their first big release and I can only imagine there are not that many employees working in the office and to work through all the logistics of organising the manufacture, packing and shipping of thousands of steelbooks can't be that easy for just a handful of people...

I am happy to wait for this, they are a neq company and will learn from their mistakes and delays, things can only get better.

They got enough time to post multiple ref links on their Facebook page each day but can't answer to a simple pm in 3 days.

They have had a 4 week break @Maximus15

Sorry but new company or not, this isnt good enough

Realistically on a 2000 print run, that is 100 parcels to send per day over a 4 week period. If you consider there are probably 3-4 employees, plus all the day to day runnings of the business as well, 4 weeks doesn't sound too bad. And I am not even counting the bank holiday in this....Wasn't the print run more like 4000 anyway :bag:EEK!

And they are probably not posting on here because of the high expectations from all the members here complaining due to being used to tried and tested releases from experienced companies.

I'm sticking to my guns and say give them a chance and I'm sure they will get better next time round.

If they can't do the job, they should not be in the job. Little or Big retailer makes no difference. If you can't do it then don't do it. Enough said.

My dead grandfather could have turned in his grave by now with all the time that has passed. Hell I could have done it in my sleep by now. 5months + 4weeks to ship = 6 months == plenty of facking time imo. As I said to someone else "GOOD LUCK WITH THAT".

@Maximus15 just to note - EB have sold less than 500 Lenti's and 500 Full Slips from their 1500 x 2 print run. The Lenti's they did not sell are probably returned to the distributor and EB removed this from their website due to poor feeback and poor sales. They did not sell out. At this rate, as each day passes there are more and more cancellations, so in effect less for EB to actually do to a point where the only packages remaining will be yours and a few others waiting for this because you are 'patient' enough to do so.

500 bluboxes, orders of multiple copies, many orders still not shipped and I'm sure the single editions are far from sold out.
My guess is they don't ship more than 30 parcels/day.

I was very excited at the prospect of a premium Steelbook retailer right here in the UK but that feeling swiftly evaporated once we later found out how EB operate and treat the majority of their customers. I myself was on the receiving end of some positive customer care after they made a mistake with shipping and I was able to keep a Lenti free of charge (instead of shipping 2x BluBox's, they shipped 1x Box + 1x Lenti). Not that I want or need a 2nd Lenti after seeing the product in-hand but hey, it was a freebie afterall and the thought that counts ;) The 2nd BluBox shipped within 24 hours as they advised to, so again, kudos to EB for sticking to their word in that instance.

I just feel for those that are still waiting and receiving little to no update on their orders. I don't use other forms of social media but saw from their Facebook/Twitter pages that they update/respond to those more or less everyday! As many have already said on numerous occasions now, how hard is it really just to log in and post here with a general update to the current situation?? (And with no BS please!).

Ignoring the very customer base you were initially responding to on a regular basis and encouraging sales through is frankly shameful and inexcusable IMO.

Call me foolish but I optimistically pre-ordered The Mummy Trilogy Box before receiving my SOTD order and inspecting EB's work first-hand. As The Mummy doesn't involve any slips/art cards etc, I'm hoping the Box itself will impress as has the SOTD one here (we all know how the Steelbooks look anyway).

So dependant on how the near future pans out for EB and whether they decide to make a special guest appearance and update their HDN customer base, I may just call it quits after The Mummy and forget about completing the Cornetto Trilogy altogether.. :( Shame.

Just received mine today. It was very much unexpected since I didn't receive an email and it's still sitting as unfulfilled on the website.

Almost missed it since I work nights and was sleeping....

I'm still practicing the the whole being patient stance, I'm willing to cut them slack seeing as how it is their first major release and problems obviously have been happen g on their end, but what really irks me is that they have not shared any sort of communication for weeks now. I hope things get better with EB

4-people working 5-hours during the day (EB did say he hired some folks to help)
7-minutes tops to get a flattened box to upright, place your item inside, close and tape & seal the box, and affix the label to the box. (whole thing is complete at this point)
7 x 4 = 28 box's per hour
x 5-hours during the day (1-hour for lunch) (time away from there regular work day) = 140 box's per day
140 boxes per day
x 7-days = 980 boxes per week
x 4-weeks = 3,920 box in a 4-week period

1-day to pack boxes in a moving truck and take to local shipping center.

Now take into consideration if those other three hires worked 7-hours per day instead of 5.

7-minutes tops to get a flattened box to upright, place your item inside, close and tape & seal the box, and affix the label to the box. (whole thing is complete at this point)
7 x 3 = 21 boxes per hour
x7-hours during the day (1-hour for lunch) = 147 boxes per day
147 boxes per day
x7-days = 1,029 boxes per week
x4weeks = 4,116 boxes in a 4-week period
1-day to pack boxes in a moving truck and take to local shipping center.
That doesn't include EB himself helping out, it's only his help that he hired.

I did the math now you figure out where your box is because 4-weeks have already elapsed and if you don't have your SOTD then all I have to say is "GOOD LUCK WITH THAT". ????

Despite the one month delay in fulfilling all orders it's surely not the end of the world for EBlu (or even for their customers) and I'm convinced that this bump in the road will not be repeated on future releases and that all of their future projects from THE MUMMY Blubox onwards will be as if on newly laid tarmac.

Anyway, kudos to EBlu for:
- Designing and providing an almost perfect product for their first major release . . . and their Blubox itself is the ne plus ultra as far as outer boxes is concerned
- Being passionate about their product and designing in all those cool little effects to make this product look stunning.
- Ensuring that their quality control is above reproach with no complaints from customers of damage either to the Bluboxes, the steelbooks or to anything else in between.
You'll be hard pushed to find many threads for steelbooks from other retailers with a similar good record !
- Using first rate packaging.

Not taking anything away from anyone angry at not receiving their boxes yet . . . but accusing them of allsorts of spurious and dishonest acts reflects badly on this excellent forum . . . and reduces the chance of future dissemination of product information and one-to-one communication with the company is put in jeopardy

You do get it wrong a lot of the time don't you

It's not perfect > the art cards are the basic of basic with rough edges all around, no polybags to keep the extras in, mismatching numbering cards on mine and another members, I for one have damage on my box including a black biro mark, and the steels have defects. That's just some of the issues

The funny thing is you don't even have this in hand

Don't really care if EB is a local UK retailer. As long as a company delivers on its commitment it could be based in Timbuktoo for all I care.

Well my cancellation request was approved. Glad I didn't sell off my earlier steelbook release's of SOTD.

No way they hired any help (if they did they must sleep all day) they should of had every order packaged and sent out by now 4 weeks is ridiculous. I work 8hrs a day plus 3 hrs driving to and from work and could package and post more than what they are doing in my free time. It's really not that hard. For the rest that are waiting good luck hopefully you get them before the next release. This will be my last post in here. Maybe they will be better with The Mummy set but I didn't order it. I wanted to support them.
