That post by EB was meaningless apart from the apology maybe.

I mean....

"...but unfortunately because of the issues which we hope will be resolved soon it may take a short while but we will fulfil every active order."

Wtf is going on?

Why do they completely ignore my messages when others get an almost instant response?

I'm starting to doubt that my order was shipped at the 1st of June.

Probably because the fact is they don't have anything to ship at all.....

This thread easily divided into those of us that wish EverythingBlu well in future projects and those that don't - a pity really as we should all be together on here wishing them well as the very first U.K. company trying to do something a bit special with regular steelbooks.
Whatever other problems delayed the release . . . apart from what they told us (the change of material for the numbered cards and the change of colour and finish to the zombie hand on the back of the Blubox) is surely their business and their business alone but I wouldn't be surprised if Brexit reared its ugly head somewhere in the mix . .

When I picture the naysayers my mind is drawn to the famous Lewis Carroll poem "Jabberwocky" and these lines in particular "'Twas brillig and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe . . . "

I think Ben should give you a free Blubox for your persistent defense of the indefensible :rofl:

I don't have a wish for everything blu to fail in the future, I currently have the Mummy set ordered and paid for so in my own interest, I definitely don't want them to fail.

But you cannot ignore the failure of this current release. Or defend it. If there is a good legitimate reason why people are waiting for up to a month or longer from the start of shipping to receive their item then why just say. Maybe there would be a level of empathy if they came clean, but no, we got some generic answerless answer.

Although annoyed about the way EB has handled this I also don't wish them failure but V does like to make up bullsh*t

There's no feeling of community on here at all! EB run into some production problems and the pitchfork and torches mob are out for the product they paid for!
IMHO

Fixed that for you. It's cool and all that you don't care what companies do with your money when you pay them for a product, but others do and they are not in the wrong for it either.

I also find it funny that people like @virkia are accusing people of vitriol and bile when actually the vast majority have been patient, frustrated yes but patient enough not to demand a full refund.

If there is one lesson to be learned here then it's not the attitude of the community, it is that small businesses should not bite off more than they can chew. It will only hurt them in the long run.

I do hope EB are not using funds from the mummy to prop up this release, or you might have probs with the mummy release too.

The vast majority may have been patient but the noisy minority have cancelled that out with their scurrilous accusations and mean-spirited comments aimed at a company just starting out on the road with their first major release.
Yes, their FIRST major release and NOT to be compared with "Killer Klowns" with its 300 slipcase run.
"Shaun of the Dead" is a full print run of 4,000 (as far as I know) so no comparison has merit  and just imagine how time consuming it is for one or even four people packing, organising for dispatch, notifying purchasers, arranging collection by the courier and all the other stuff that's involved with a release of 2,000 plus units !.
Of course it's all too easy to forget the work involved in a release of this size and just so easy to hurl accusations

The worst anyone can throw at EBlu is the length of time it's taking to get all the packages out to customers.
This . . .
. . . doesn't mean they deserve to be tarred and feathered for the unforeseen delays.
Doesn't mean they've committed a crime and the idea that they've started this business just to rip off those that bought the SotD boxes (like some on here have postulated ) is so laughably ridiculous that I have no words to describe my distaste.
Doesn't mean they've squirreled the money away in some Swiss or Liechtenstein Bank and retired to the Costa del Crime or for the more successful crim the Cote d"Azur
Doesn't mean they should've stuck to their day jobs and given up on their dreams just because they didn't start out with oodles of dosh provided by a wealthy relative or even a dragon investor.

EBlu is here for the long haul, so get used to it folks . . . and again if anyone thinks they went to all this trouble to fold after just one major release and throw in the towel before decent dosh starts rolling in then all I can say is EEK!:banghead::asshat::arghh:.

As for starting out in business it's COMMON PRACTICE for cash made on sales to go into the infrastructure . . . especially on the first couple of releases . . . and when they have some real money in the bank like now for THE MUMMY everything should run as smooth as silk.

Thank you

I for one am glad that EB showed up to give an update yet I was not impressed with the generalized nature of the post, it almost seemed prefabricated and it said nothing in relation to the reasoning behind the delay or how much longer the delay would last for the last order to ship out. I mean come on EB, these are your loyal customers, in order to gain their trust please be honest and forthcoming in your replies.

This is my issue 4 week's and still didn't get mine shipped I'm not talking about having it in my hand but shipped or any real reason for the the hold up. From what I'm hearing even some of the very 1st pre-order's have not gotten shipped. Alot of people had to email or contact through Facebook to get order shipped. I didn't order til a week or 2 before the Box Sold out so I was fine with waiting awhile but sorry all earlier order's should have been shipped out the door by now.

I don't do Facebook but a little search and they have plenty of time to post on Facebook.

I've got 2 emails since release

May 20th - started shipping just a little slow

May 23rd - working hard speeding up the shipping

May 26th post in here "Sorry for the lack of posting but parcels are the priority. All parcels will be completed by the end of the weekend. All issues have been rectified going forward and extra staff have been drafted in to help with the packaging."

3 weeks later nothing that I know of from them .

Request a refund email said "We're sorry about this. We are shipping orders as fast as we can after an issue right on top of release date."

And then the post they just posted with no real info again. What are they hiding and not saying. Don't have to completely tell us but some real info about not having Steelbooks in hand or whatever it is they should of just been up front with us. I wanted to support them just as much as the rest but they will not get my support on this release or the future as of now.

I wonder when they start producing the mummy box.

Talking about his next release "casino"...
I wouldn't be surprised if he has a gambling addiction and lost our money. :ohno:

I think you could be on to something!!

Casino is not the next release by EverythingShite.

Ben is in the Casino gambling away our money and has no time to ship ( the stock he doesn't have in the first place)!!!:whistle::whistle:

Ben gambled our cash away on the Cheltenham Gold Cup. Good on your fella. That explains why all the cost cutting measures short cuts he took.
  • Swapped the metal cards to the plastic
  • Didn't reseal the editions in the Blu box
  • Poor Quality lenti instead of the true depth lenti we were supposed to have.
  • Poor quality art cards that you can cut out from magazines and what you find at primary school
  • No small resealable nice poly bags for the art cards
  • Poor quality data sheet
  • Poor quality logo stickers
  • Poor quality slips
  • A poor quality machine that can't even print the correct 1 click numbers????!!!

The only thing positive is the steel because these were already made and distributed to him by universal. And I give him credit to the embossed flimsy Blu box which you can easily bend and a lovely gap in the package which really defeats what a hardbox is supposed to be.

All Ben has to do is to dress this up into a nice premium package and had months and months with delays to do this but made an embarrassing mockery out of it.

Now we get a templated as expected BS response which I predicted just to give some form of hope to those still waiting that he is alive, hasn't gone bust (yet) and made a runner.

All we have here is the same EB defenders saying 'be patient, it will come' la dee la la....
You be waiting 1 year and still be saying the same nonsense.

@EB delusional defenders - wake up and smell the coffee! We all know you want to so desperately add this and the Cornetto trilogy to your collection. Understand the reality of what is going on and stop defending them for Christ Sake!!

It gives steelbook collecting a bad name if they continue like this.
