SithLord84's Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

Hello and welcome to my Star Wars themed mancave. As you can see I am a huge fan of both Star Wars Trilogies. The statues you see here are from Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format line. The collection itself is still very much a collection in progress, I couldn't tell you when I'll be finished but I do know that I am not done yet and I still have more statues on the way and I also have more posters/prints that will be added once they are framed.

The cabinets you see here are from Ikea, but all the parts are sold separately. The units themselves are called Besta, the doors are called Sindvik, and the interior lights are called Stotta.

In addition to the Star Wars collection the room features a Samsung 46" 3D LED TV, a Samsung HT-E5400 3D Home Theater System, as well as a Sony PS3 and a PS4.

I doubt that's the actual PF! I think it said it won't even go up for order until 2016.

You'll have to PM me your full review on Friday. I was over on the freaks board and I clicked on one of the Hot Toys figure threads and of course some jerk had to post in there what happens to that character in the movie. Man people suck.

I know! There was a guy in line who started in with the whole I heard this spoiler, and without thinking I said, "Hey dude! STFU!" And everyone started cracking up because of the look on the guys face. LOL!

Man, I loved the movie. Maybe Josh will post the text I sent to him from my theater chair right when the movie ended. LMAO! The whole night was actually a great experience. I was 1st in linefor a SW movie. Never have I been 1st. Talked to some awesome people. Got the seats I wanted. Had the crowd cracking up. Saw a f'n awesome movie! And hung out in the lobby afterwards talking to other fans, and hugging people I didn't even know. Just an awesome night.

Cool! 2016 huh? That could mean any time that whole year!

I figured they'd only do a tease of a TFA PF. Freaking Sideshow! Screw it, I'm getting the droids first. No need to rush on Kylo since he more than likely won't ship till at least 2017 anyways.

I'm on total internet black out guys. I'm seriously not going anywhere online anymore. I'm also shutting my phone off. One of my douchebag buddies already told me he's going to spoil everything for me tomorrow. I know he's joking but I just can't take the risk lmao.

I'm out! I'll be back on next week.

Jim-Carrey.gif

LMAO!

Go see it Josh! Drop everything and go!

Just throwing this out there: the 1/4 scale Hot Toys Boba Fett is 30% off at ThinkGeek right now using the code BYE2015.

Nice! Will see if I can swing it.

BTW, saw this pic on Sideshows FB page:

Is it me, or is that a Jango PF on the bottom left?

Okay, I finally saw it tonight! Holy ****ing s*** was that awesome!!!!

I'll use spoilers for now in case anyone stops in my thread who hasn't seen the movie yet:

God damn that was awesome! Where to start. Poe had a much huger role than I thought he was going to, I did not expect to see the movie start out with him. It was awesome to see Kylo as Han & Leia's son. I just had a feeling he was going to be related to someone from the OT, and he was definitely my favorite character! Rey was phenomenal too! I totally knew she was going to be a force user. Finn was even more awesome than I was expecting, and he was actually holding his own for a bit while fighting Kylo. But in the end it was so freaking awesome to see Rey fighting Kylo with a freaking lightsaber! I'm thinking we will definitely see some kind of family connection between Rey and Kylo revealed in the next movie. Could they be cousins? They seemed to have too much going on between them for there not to be some kind of connection.

As far as Han dyeing, I'm actually surprisingly okay with it. I didn't think I would be at all when the rumors were swirling, but they really made him such a huge part in this movie, and I guess if he had to go making his son who is a want to be Sith kill him off is a pretty decent way to go, from an audience perspective. I hope this at least gives Harrison some free time to make another Indy movie now :D.

I guess the only slight disappointment I had is the extreme limitation of Luke. I mean they didn't even give him a single line of dialogue. The moment was still really amazing though even without any, so I still thought it was awesome.

This movie really felt fresh. I'm not saying that as a good or bad thing, because I absolutely love the whole saga. JJ made it very apparent that ANH is his favorite SW movie with so many nods to it in this one, especially that awesome cantina-like scene. As much as this movie feels like a sequel it also kind of felt like a reboot too. I don't know where I'd rank this movie as far as SW goes. They are all so good. I'm probably going to need to see this a few times before it all sinks in. A part of me just couldn't believe this movie was a real thing until I saw those yellow words scrolling up the screen.

Thats so awesome that you guys were there first in line! But if anyone was going to be first in line it definitely should have been you lol.

I'm glad you told that guy to shut up. Man you really can't go anywhere without someone trying to spoil it for everyone by dropping rumors and stuff. Especially online . Speaking of which now I can finally go back on my websites LOL.

That piece is the Sideshow Bronze Boba statue. That sucker is $5K+. They also have a Jango one too, which I think the pose is absolutely perfect on! They should just copy that for the PF.

Edit: I completely missed the private message here yesterday lol. I added a new reply.

I also saw the movie for a second time today. I read that Daniel Craig was a stormtrooper in the movie and I thought that was just a rumor but I'm 99% sure he is.
During the scene where Rey is using the Jedi mind trick on the stormtrooper in the interrogation room, I'm almost certain thats Daniel Craig. He sounds just like him.

That scene is Daniel Craig. Probably the funniest scene in the whole movie, and there were plenty.

Yeah, I realized that wasn't the PF. I should have known better. Why in Gods name would they have one made already when they can just rehash previously released product, LOL!

Defnitely felt like a reboot for sure! Again, not a bad thing, but almost like what if ANH had been made today.

Rey is definitely the star here. I can't wait to see what happens with her in the next movie!

Not sure if you saw this yet Lou:

I don't know how much you like the character after seeing how limited she was in the movie, but this still looks freaking awesome.

Damn that price is steep for this, but I have to have it! Despite her role in TFA, I think we'll get more from EPVIII.

Thats exactly the feeling I got out of TFA. And I loved that. But people are whining that its ANH 2.0 As predicted I've seen as many comments bashing this film as praising, maybe even a slight bit more towards the bashing side. This movie was just so phenomenal, its like have all these people seen the same movie as me? The internet never ceases to amaze me sometimes with the amount of negativity. But whatever, at least we all loved the film.

Rey was so great. Finn and Poe were great too. This whole new cast is awesome! I also really liked Maz Kanata. I hope she's back for VIII too.

I love the look of the Anovos stuff but man are their prices steep. I still haven't figured out if they've delivered on anything they've had up for p.o. yet.

A friend of mine said he knows a few people who got the First Order Trooper bucket, and there are issues with all of them. Doesn't inspire alot of confidence. I told my supplier to hold off until I can find out more on the QC of this thing. I've also seen that they have a lifesize First Order Trooper up for PO:

For only $8500, LOL!

Yeah, I like Maz too! And, she's older than Yoda!

The biggest complaint I've seen is when someone says it is the best SW film made. The ESB fanatics then come out of the woodwork to insult anyone who feels that way. Well, at least on FB it has been that way. Once I had my say, they STFU, but you know they are just waiting to pounce on the next person to say something. IMO, it is the best SW film made, and I love the holy crap out of ROTS! In the end, it is an awesome movie that we are lucky to even have.

Dang that Phasma helmet is slick! Although I also haven't seen a single finished product from Anovos' Star Wars line. I really hope Phasma will have a bigger part in the next movie. It's amusing they put her on the poster for episode VII and she did next to nothing. I'm trying to decide if I should order her HT figure or wait to see if she has a bigger part in the next movie (heck they might even make another figure for her next movie knowing how HTs milks licenses). I really hope they don't alter all the troopers looks for the next movie just so they can sell more toys. The stormtroopers never changed throughout the OT and I hope it stays the same here.

Add me to the list of Maz Kanata's fan club. :) Maybe they should do a spin off movie of her, heck she's been around forever.

What are the issues with the First Order Trooper bucket?

I had no problems with all the little nods to A New Hope with the exception of Starkiller Base basically being another Death Star. I mean how many times is the Empire going to build a planet sized weapon that can be destroyed by fighter pilots? :p

I watched RotJ again on Saturday after watching TFA and it's still my favorite, probably always will be just because of the nostalgia behind it. I can't really rank TFA until I see it a few more times. I don't think it really matters which Star Wars movie is someone's favorite as long as they love Star Wars!

Oh, I'm so angry! Now I see people come in to defend the new movie, but then immediately after they defend it they follow it up by "this is the first good SW movie we've seen in 30 years".:angry::banghead: God I hate the internet sometimes!

That life size Stormie looks awesome but man is that expensive! Thats pretty disappointing to hear that the F.O. helmets are already having issues though. I don't think I'll be ordering anything from them anyways.

Phasma is really awesome looking, and I think her part was probably only as important as Boba was in ESB. Even if she doesn't have a bigger role in the next one, or if she doesn't come back at all, I still think years from now people will still compare her to Boba, and honestly thats fine by me. I'm glad to see they went out to create another awesome looking character that leaves you wanting more just like Boba.

I was kind of shocked they went with what was basically a third death star too. But I guess the empire/first order is always trying to make sure they create something big enough that it can destroy a planet. I'm just a little surprised they haven't figured out they need to make these things a little more invulnerable from attacks from little fighters :p.

I don't know where to rank TFA either. I'll probably have to see it at least 20 times so it can at least grow with me a bit. By then I'll be able to really tell how it ranks up. Its way to fresh in my mind right now.

I didn't realize Episode VII comes out in May of 2017. That means we're already less than a year and a half away instead of 2 years! Plus we'll get another movie between now and then. Good time to be alive.

I'm so happy that the Episodes are moving back to summer releases! It just feels so strange seeing this right before Christmas.

WORD! Some seem to have a real hard time accepting what another fans favorite one is. They just can't accpet the fact that someone has a different opinion than they do, LOL! Watching ROTJ is a good idea. Definitely going to pop in the BD tonight!

Yeah, and I knew about the Starkiller Base months ago due to my damn inside guy spilling it over Skype! Like I said then, I was a little disappointed that they didn't come up with something new, but at the same time, I was still excited about the movie. That said, I f'n hope we don't get a Starkiller Base 2 in EPVIX!

From what my friend said, there alot of dings and blemishes. I personally haven't seen on to comment, but I take his word for it.

Hell yeah! 1 year until Rouge 1, and 5 months after that EPVIII! How frikkin' awesome! Not to mention we will get another 3 Star Wars movies, at least, eash following year. :D

I'm so happy that the Episodes are moving back to summer releases! It just feels so strange seeing this right before Christmas.

Was also strange not hearing the Fox music at the start. First thing I did look for after "Star Wars" appeared was EPVII, LOL!

I still think it is the best one yet. This was a 2 hour and 16 min movie that didn't even come close to feeling like it. In all the other 6 movies, there are parts that move just a little too slow (desert scene in ANH, almost all of Dagobah in ESB, a couple Endor scenes in ROTJ, some Tatooine scenes in TPM, a few Geonosis scenes in AOTC, a Coruscant scene in ROTS) but in TFA, there were no parts like that for me. Everything was just so interesting and well paced. I really need to see this again at least one more time.

I agree on Phasma. It's my fault for coming in with expectation rather than just letting the story guide me. I want to see her do more, but again, just having a cool looking character like Boba Fett is good enough and works. But, if they want to make her a badass like Jango, I sure won't complain! LOL!

Yeah, too expensive for me. Better to just get the armor and a mannequin and do it yourself.

LMAO! Too many levels of haters dude! I've seen it all on FB over the last few days, and even some before the flippin' movie came out like, " It'll be better than the Prequels, but not as good as Empire!"

That damn internet bro. "If Empire isn't your favorite then you aren't 'cool' " LOL. Empire is a phenomenal film, and if its really their favorite than thats cool. But I know there are people out there that are saying its their favorite just so people don't think they aren't cool. Its the same with the Batman movies online. If you don't think The Dark Knight is the best then you will get hated on. On the internet its agree or die LMAO.

I'm starting to think TFA could be the best one. Just the more I think about it, everything was just so perfect in this movie. It moved really fast and didn't lag anywhere. For me the second quickest one would have been ANH. I think the writing was phenomenal in this one. Its probably the best. Behind it I probably would have put ANH and ESB. As much as the internet fanboys love ESB, I've gotta agree with them and say that is one very well written movie. The action was absolutely phenomenal in TFA, but the action has been phenomenal in all the SW movies. I don't know if its possible to have better action than the rest, but I will say its on the same standard, which is perfect. I think the acting was the best in TFA hands down.

Man, as excited as I was when the Star Wars logo went flying by on the screen, I was holding it partially back until I saw it say Episode VII. Gotta admit there was a slight worry they were going to leave that out. But now looking at the rest of my OT posters it just lists the name of the movie surrounded by the words Star Wars. So I probably shouldn't have been too worried they'd leave the Ep. VII out of the opening crawl.

Was also strange not hearing the Fox music at the start. First thing I did look for after "Star Wars" appeared was EPVII, LOL!

Five more movies in the next five years is so crazy! I never thought something like that would ever happen. Of course I didn't think we'd get more movies when I was younger then we got the prequels. I am curious about these stand alone movies, it would be awesome if they just took the best EU books and made them into movies. I wonder what their plan is beyond the next five years? I'd love to have the Darth Bane trilogy adapted into a movie. They should definitely go back and explore the days of the old republic.

You are right about TFA not feeling like a 2+ hour movie. It felt like I was just trying to digest that I was watching a new Star Wars movie then all of the sudden it was over! Of course I spent the rest of the weekend doing nothing but thinking about it and reading articles online because I'm cool like that.

I can't argue the fact that Empire is probably the best SW movie from a film making point of view. However it's probably the one I watch the least out of all the OT movies. Hey speaking of Batman movies, did you see the new HT Batman from the Superman vs. Batman movie? What the heck is up with that sculpt?

Loving the new avy! :D

I still can't believe we are getting another five movies! Its insane! I never thought this would happen. Even after seeing VII there is a part of me that can't believe this is real. Its such an awesome time to be a SW fan. A big complaint that one of my best friends has is that they are too focused on the core Saga. He really wants the movies to start branching out into other areas like the Old Republic. There is just so much more SW out there than the central story. And while I am sure enjoying what we are getting, I can't wait to see them hopefully branch out into other areas once they have finished this section of the saga up.

I saw that new HT Batman and ehh.. its just not my cup of tea. As you know I'm not the biggest Miller Batman fan and the outfit in the movie really looks like it a lot. The sculpt of the figure is also kind of meh. Pictures just surfaced of the production Returns Keaton as well and thats another miss, although it does look like they changed the sculpt a bit from the proto pics. HT is missing the mark lately with some of their stuff. Luckily their SW stuff still looks really good.

Thanks, I felt like I needed a new one. I changed mine on another board too.

I fully support Old Republic movies. Heck there used to be more than 2 Sith back in the day, imagine a full on battle between a Sith and Jedi army!

Yeah I kind of thought that new Batman looked awful. I see everyone calling it Fatman (someone even photo shopped McDonalds accessories into the picture and had him holding a take out bag). That's too bad about the Keaton Batman. There are a few nitpicks with the Star Wars stuff, but they've been pretty good for the most part. I absolutely love the name plates on the bases, I will be annoyed if they ever stop doing that and I won't buy SS 1/6 because they don't have the names on the bases...or even have bases anymore (I know that's probably ridiculous reasoning).

By the way, did you guys see this?

Whoa! So they are coming back? Bryan Ono who is running EFX used to be the guy that put out most of the SW stuff for Master Replicas. I wonder if he is the reason MR is coming back, and if MR is going to be some kind of side division of EFX this time. Whatever it is I'm super excited to find out more!

Dude if they had a Sith army vs a Jedi army in a movie my head would literally explode because it couldn't handle the amount of awesomeness that it had just seen.

I always thought Batfleck looked fat. But thats exactly how Frank Miller drew him in TDKR which is one of the main reasons I can't stand that comic. Even the Batsymbol on the outfit is obese. And I even said the cowl in this movie looks more like an obese cat than a bat. Even if this movie ends up being amazing I don't think I'll be able to get past the gripes I have with the look. And then there is the armored outfit which I think looks even worse! Having said all of this, I just don't know how I'm going to end up not seeing this movie or even avoid adding it to my movie collection with how big of a Batman fan I am. Its weird.

Whats going on with the SS 1/6 bases? I agree I love the nameplates on the HT bases, but now the SS ones are just coming with completely blank black bases or none at all. If I buy any more 1/6 figs they will be from HT and no one else.

I just read from blu-ray.com that they are listing The Force Awakens Blu-Ray release date as April 5 :woot:. I hope this is true.

I just can't agree with that "fact." Some complain about the PT flaws when ESB has more than any of them. I can over look them though because ESB is when Vader is at his baddest and for me he's what makes the movie great. I'd have to give "Best SW movie from a film making POV" to TFA hands down.

As for The Old Republic, I believe Disney is now calling the PT Republic "The Old Republic" and The New Republic is post ROTJ. But, I get what you're saying. The whole KOTOR era would be a great story to tell. As fun as the Anthology Han Solo film may be, IMO they could do better exploring other eras. Such a big universe with alot of history, and we are stuck on this timeline.

Loving the new avy! :D

April 5th will be circled on my Star Wars calendar! :p I'm surprised it's not 2 weeks earlier so it would be out in time for Easter.

My head would probably explode from a Sith vs. Jedi army battle as well! You have no idea how many times I re-watched the Geonosis arena battle with all the Jedi charging into battle. That was one of my favorite moments from the PTs.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who disliked Frank Miller's TDKR. Being a big Superman fan I didn't like the way he was portrayed in the story and I really didn't like the art at all. I figured I would dislike Miller's run on Daredevil as well, but I absolutely loved it.

I have no idea what's going on with SS. Their 1/6 Maul comes with barebones accessories and no stand for $239.99! Then their 1/4 scale prices are all over the place right now too. Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Green Goblin were all listed close together at the following prices: $429.99, $449.99, and $519.99!

Yeah it's not fact that ESB is the greatest SW movie, but I don't argue that it's usually considered the greatest. Like I said, it's my least favorite of the OT and it would be the last one I would show to kids. I know when I was a kid I found it to be the most boring which is probably why it's still my least favorite, ha. Of course least favorite Star Wars movies is still one of my top 20 movies! I bet it's killing all those ESB people that TFA has a higher score on Rotten Tomatoes right now.

The first Jedi temple would be a good idea. We could also see how the dark side is discovered and the first Sith is born. Then after they could give me my Darth Bane trilogy to show how the rule of two was created!

I have no idea what that Master Replicas announcement means. I'm actually hoping they'll go back and finish the Fozzie Bear they were making.

You guys know anything about this company? Seems like a 1/35 scale AT-AT would be pretty huge! I looked them up and could only find NASA ships that they have made previously (one of them is 1/72 scale and it's 5 feet tall).

You should have punched that guy in the face right in the middle of the class! LOL! The kids would have been like "Ohhhhhhhhhhh!"

I'm just not that excited about the Han film. If he would have been the same age he is now during the OT I'd probably be more accepting of them having to recast a younger actor, but since we've had Harrison from the start its going to be really hard for me to accept anyone else playing Han.

I'd love to see a Jedi origin story, especially with Yoda. I'd also love a Qui-Gon spinoff but I know the ship has sailed with any hope of them doing anything else with that character.

April 5th will be circled on my Star Wars calendar! :p I'm surprised it's not 2 weeks earlier so it would be out in time for Easter.

I hope this date sticks. Thats just a bit more than 3 months away!

I didn't like the way Supes was portrayed in that comic either. And I just got done reading The Wolverine Japan Saga which Frank Miller did the artwork for an its gorgeous! I just don't understand why the artwork in TDKR looks so terrible, Miller can do great artwork when he wants to. And tons of people love the way TDRK looks!?!?o_O It just boggles my mind.

I'm probably going to have a super busy day tomorrow so in case I don't get back here tomorrow I want to wish everyone a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
