Hello and welcome to my Star Wars themed mancave. As you can see I am a huge fan of both Star Wars Trilogies. The statues you see here are from Sideshow Collectibles' Premium Format line. The collection itself is still very much a collection in progress, I couldn't tell you when I'll be finished but I do know that I am not done yet and I still have more statues on the way and I also have more posters/prints that will be added once they are framed.

The cabinets you see here are from Ikea, but all the parts are sold separately. The units themselves are called Besta, the doors are called Sindvik, and the interior lights are called Stotta.

In addition to the Star Wars collection the room features a Samsung 46" 3D LED TV, a Samsung HT-E5400 3D Home Theater System, as well as a Sony PS3 and a PS4.

Dude, if they got Nick Fury to cameo nerds heads would explode out of the awesomeness, mine included. From what I heard though Disney and Fox are not going to make any kind of Marvel deal in the foreseeable future. For now I just gotta stay happy with Sony letting Disney use Spider-Man with the Avengers.

Which is why I doubt we will ever see the Unaltered Original Trilogy on Bluray or what ever post HD medium is used in the future. Fox seems like they are a bunch of stubborn F's! Could you imagine Deadpool in the Avengers? LOL!

I guess I can understand Fox not wanting to sell their Marvel character rights to Disney when they will continue to make bank all by themselves for decades to come as long as they keep making movies with these characters in them. But the SW thing boggles my mind. There are just so many people craving an HD version of the uncut OT, they'd probably get at least half of the people who already bought the blu-ray to double dip for an unaltered version.

I guess I can understand Fox not wanting to sell their Marvel character rights to Disney when they will continue to make bank all by themselves for decades to come as long as they keep making movies with these characters in them. But the SW thing boggles my mind. There are just so many people craving an HD version of the uncut OT, they'd probably get at least half of the people who already bought the blu-ray to double dip for an unaltered version.

I'm not one of those that has to have the UOT on Blu, but no doubt I'd buy it. If they were smart, they'd release it only as a box set with the SE's, PT, ST, and Anthology films.

As long as it comes out eventually I'll be happy. Hopefully by the time IX is out 4K will be popular enough where they will release the whole saga again + the ST for the new format. That would be a great time for them to finally do it.

I got a new Batman PF in last Tuesday.

This is the Modern Age Batman which is the outfit that he wore in the comics from the 70's-90's (I have a lot of them where he wears this very outfit). I just put up a shorter besta in my room which I'm using as a bookcase for my comics and it had a lot of real estate available on the top that was begging for a new comic-themed PF .

I also took a Bat-Selfie earlier today lol

I am just realizing right now, this instant, that I never posted a pic before. LMAO!

I like the black/grey suit in the comics more, but this blue statue just pops so much more than the black/grey one did. After I sold off all of my comic Batverse PFs for SW ones the thing I realized is a lot of the SW ones are basically dark colors, or a single color, with the exception of Boba. I guess I needed to bring some more color back into the statue collection lol.

LOL! Catwoman has to have one of the best bootys of any PF out there. I actually was just going through my phone yesterday and I found that video I made, before I sold off the DC PFs for the Star Wars ones. I just happened to put it up on Youtube yesterday. Oh, and the reason the Bats PF looks massive is because it is! That has to have one of the single greatest pieces as far as presence alone goes. The fully sculpted cape just makes that thing a straight up beast! Most of the other DC pieces have between a 3 and 5 inch base as well, which really makes them look even bigger, but also makes them hard to display with doors on your Besta. Which is the main reason I went with SW ones instead. I'll make a video of my Star Wars stuff soon, as well as a new vid for my Keaton Batman PF. I wasn't real happy how that vid turned out, didn't have good lighting at all. I have him all alone in a white Besta right now and the details really pop now. I also have Tweeterhead Pfeiffer Catwoman coming in the beginning of March supposedly, if she doesn't get delayed again, and I will definitely be doing a video of her.

The new Boba should pretty much be exactly like one of DC's big ass PFs. If/when you get him, what you should do is just "temporarily" (lol) put it in a completely different room, far away from the rest of your PFs, on top of a dresser or a book case, or something with a large enough flat surface that will fit it and then just put it in there and leave. Then come back in the room after you've left it long enough to kind of forget about it, and then when you see it the shear size of the thing will completely blow you away! I complain about huge ass bases on some of their stuff, but when you display them away from other stuff and when you have them out there in the open, the awesome size is just such an amazing sight to see.

I don't know if you follow any of the other statue companies stuff but Prime 1 just released pics for their 1/3 scale Arkham Knight Harley Quinn statue.

And Prime 1 did announce they are doing a 1/3 Michael Keaton Batman . If it tops SS's PF (and it would be really hard to do that considering it has my favorite base of all-time), you could very well be seeing me get it.

I've noticed even Chewie's tall size kind of gets lost once he's surrounded by other quarter scale pieces. I think it has to do with the Bestas and doors too. When you put a display case around them thats a lot bigger it can really reduce the appearance of the statue's immense size. I notice that when you leave PFs out in the open they seem so much larger.

Oh, and have you ever notice that with practically every new PF, when you open them there is a part of you that thinks "Oh, this is definitely the BEST one yet!"? lol. I swear I say that every time I get a new one.

Also their face sculpts aren't quite up to HT standards either IMO. Its nice that they go with a resin like material like HT (something I kind of wish SS would do with human PFs) so you can get a better sculpt and paint app, but I do wish the sculpts were better. The Reeve Superman and Indiana Jones were good examples of what's wrong with their pieces.

They've only been around since 2012, so they've got to keep their stuff reasonable because they are so new, but now that they've got the rights to do DC stuff in 1/4, thats only going to bring them lots of new customers and they'll have direct competition with SS. People are assuming that SS is sharing license due to SS supposedly having complete control of the 1/4 DC license. I never know what to believe when I read stuff from the forums though, because there always seems to be so many people who act like they are the people there that are making the deals and supposedly know all the details to them. Whatever it is, I'd love to see the Prime 1 1/4 DC pieces do really well, so they could maybe get some more licenses down the road including SW.

I agree! I just don't understand how HT can nail a likeness in 1/6 scale so easily, yet SS and others have such a hard time in the larger scales. I don't get it! I do think, however, that Cinemaquette's Vader is probably the best scaled statue out there.

Thanks man. Yeah, I actually use a cheap camera and have to manipulate the images with lighting and stuff. It takes hours believe it or not, sometimes I'm just too lazy to take pics. You know if it is a stellar piece though if there are more than 10 pics put up. 10 pics online usually mean I've taken about 200-300 fo'real! I need a better camera too, LOL! I guess that's why I'm thinking of dong videos instead. Alot easier, and all in HD.
