People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

Got 2 copies, 1 faint slash, other a proper slash.

A joke...why this still happens is insane, it's a simple fix, yet these companies seem to be unable to add the protection layer that prevents the slashers ruining the damn steels!

As an aside, I think the print quality of this steel is really poor...the dpi seems to have been set to the lowest they think they can get away with...

Was surprised to see mine arrive today with free shipping. Really nice steelbook IMO... and thankfully slash free! My only gripe is the Aston Martin on the back looks kind of blurry/LQ.

I agree, very low res artwork. Craig's face especially.

Only one of the two I received had a mark across the spine this morning. There was no slash beneath the shrink wrapping though.

Ah man that sucks. Totally agree with you, it just shouldnt be a issue. How hard is it to take a little extra care.
