People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

So you ordered three, got one mint (that hardly anyone has got), they came in a big box that is damaged but protected the three steels inside, yet youre complaining that the box is too big

If theyd sent them in a smaller box and it suffered that damage, the steels may have been damaged (rather than manufacturing defects)

I wonder if the popularity/rarity of the steelbook helped with those numbers at all.

Yasterday, after received my 3 this steels (2 with spine slash + small ding), i chat with amazon.uk CS for refund. He try to settle it for me. Today, i got my refund for 2 steels at $29.36 Pound. Thanks to amazon.uk

well at least you can make one perfect one out of the 3 damaged ones now amazon canada let me keep damaged steels before due to postage costs being too expensive to return, although mine had alot more damage than just spine slash marks

Spot on Si - digital copy for iTunes or Android, but no UV.

I was disappointed with that as I quite like UV - had to download Fox player and the film is saved to the device using up memory space. Playback quality was, I thought, very poor

The quality control on this Steel of all Steels has to one of the worst, almost if not worse than some of the Paramount Waves (Godfather, Watchmen, Transformers) last year. It doesn't sit well for Steelbooks in the UK if the best selling film in the UK gets this sort of treatment.

I was lucky but sooo many aren't. Would be interesting to see if the German and other European releases have the same "blemishes".

I'm surprised there's no UV copy either, I was under the impression Sony was a big supporter of the format.
