***Several members have stated that per HMV, pre-orders have been cancelled.

Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

yes don't give up! I was able to order a second one today. I was just casually browsing, and saw that it was available from "other sellers".

4k maybe? Judging by how quick it sold out. But then a huge print run would have still sold out in the long run, so not sure what to think.

With it being a HMV exclusive originally it was almost certainly bigger than a 4K run.

I think it sold out because Amazon were selling it the same price as the Amaray version, add to that they were upgrading a lot of the Amaray orders to the steelbook without being asked, it's a huge film, they post worldwide and ebay scalpers were ordering it by the dozen - something that's happening more and more unfortunately.

For these reasons, if you havent got one then recommendation is be patient until next week, either through a lot of cancellations or the huge surge in ebay listings, which drives the price down to probably £20, you'll be able to grab one for sure and not at £35-£40 as it is now

yes the only reason I was able to get in on this is because amazon ships worldwide. I'm sure many more like me ordered from amazon uk due to this fact.

Good advice. No need to be hasty with this one, there'll almost certainly be some available to order around the release date. There are so many versions of Skyfall coming out that people will reassess which ones they actually want and make cancellations. It's panic buying that has caused the sellout.

The German one dropped to EUR 22 as I remember seeing that price in my order which I cancelled after I ordered the cheaper UK release.
