Word of caution from an UK HDN Member about HMV (thanks VRob98)

People should just be aware of 2 things:
1) If you receive a damaged or faulty copy from now on, you will not receive a replacement or refund
2) If they charge your card and are then unable to fulfil your order, you will not be refunded.

The way a company operates whilst under administration is quite different to how it operates normally, and certain consumer rights are suspended. If anything goes wrong you would have to apply to the administrator or claim against your credit card issuer.

I'd encourage everyone who has orders in with HMV to consider the above, as I'd hate to see anyone here lose their money in all of this.

It's a lot darker than it looks in the mock up pics, hopefully that's just bad lighting because the rest of it looks quality!!!!

Alright Guys

My first post, oh my.

Well I have just had a very interesting chat with Amazon via live chat as when I logged into my account I had only one order for Skyfall remaining. I had ordered 3 copies in total, 2 for me one for bro, 2 were at £11.89 and 1 at £14.99. I now only have one copy remaining at £11.89.

They basically told me that they had canceled my other orders due to pricing error. He told me that all the cheaper orders were canceled for everyone who ordered more than 1 copy, even though it was a separate order. He said multiple orders at £14.99 would have no trouble. I asked him then why my single £14.99 order was canceled, he could not really answer it.

So, I am gonna have a pi$%ed off brother and only one copy. He said he could not comment about more stock. Has anyone else have trouble who ordered at the cheaper price?

It seems like many people who ordered 3 copies got cancelled for some reason. I ordered two "at the low error price" and its dispatching soon. I have caught the price error previous times with The Dark Knight Trilogy where I order two and they never cancelled either. Man, that really sucks that they're playing people like that.

Mines the same, however I ordered Looper from Amazon on the evening it was released, was dispatched the following day and arrived the next (and that was with free postage), so you may get lucky and receive this sooner than Saturday (at least that's what I'm hoping).

Tis all very strange indeed. I was told it was not a stock issue, but a price issue via chat. Yet I have just received an email from them saying that the reason why they were cancelled was because this item is limited to one per customer. Very strange indeed.

I told them they need to pull there finger out.

I've also been on the phone with amazon and also live chat and have been told by both that no one has had there order despatched yet but did ask where i'd read this.... i'm also a prime member and my 2 copies say still not despatched (so i guess mine will be tomorrow with One-Day Delivery it should be with me monday i hope.)
