Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

I still think this could be simplified by posting the inner dimensions of each protective cover in micrometres. That way people could just messure their SteelBooks and match them to the best fitting cover.

I understand where your coming from but we have to look after our own interests, one of our competitors on eBay tried to purchase some of our slipcovers to copy the design the other week, just advertising the sizes online is not a good idea. Are you referring to SCF1 and SCF2?

That way people could just messure their SteelBooks and match them to the best fitting cover, rather than having countless people ask if each individual steelbook fits a certain cover, how tight it is, if there are any better fits, etc..

@wolf254 I posted a few pages back a large selection of Asian steelbooks which fit in each of the SCF1 and SCF2 slipcovers if that's of any use to you. If you keep your steelbooks sealed (like I do) then there are always going to be some that don't quite fit, but it's not the end of the world. Worst case you could always store them in the next size up.

@KingSteelie your protective cases are great quality so it's no wonder you have competitors trying to get hold of your 'secret ingredients'!!

I was referring to all covers, not just the SCF1 and SCF2 slipcovers. I'm not sure withholding the dimensions is in your best interest, though. I have purchased many knock-off slipcovers because the dimensions were available to me, and I knew that they would fit my SteelBooks. If I had the dimensions of the slipcovers for SteelBook Central, I would have went through them from the start - assuming I could use covers in those dimensions, of course.

Up until recently, I had never bought slipcovers from SteelBook Central because I didn't want to risk throwing money away just to check out the fit. I finally decided to splurge and get some SCF1s and SCF2s, and I have to say, I am impressed. There are so many reasons beyond dimensions for why these are superior (not mentioning specifics), that even if I found cheaper ones I would still choose the ones from SteelBook Cenral. They simply blow away the competition in terms of quality.

What is off putting, however, is the fact that I had to purchase a bundle of SFC2 slipcovers to try one on my Captain America 2 full slip from Novamedia, only to find that the slipcover is 3-4 millimeters too wide. Not a huge deal, but do I prefer my protective covers to be reasonably tight. That scenario of course works in the favor of SteelBook Central, but if I were to learn that that is the basis of the decision to not release dimensions, I would boycott the company on principle.

I appreciate the help, however my main complaint isn't necessarily that I can't find the right size covers. What I take issue with is the fact that this thread could be a lot more efficient at helping people find what they are looking for.

We appreciate your business and your nice comments about our slipcovers. But we do not conceal the sizes to gain more business I have already explained why we do not give sizes. We do explain that the SCF2 has been made to fit a certain steelbook and others will be a looser fit. We get many emails daily from collectors asking what slipcovers will fit there steels. Most of these collectors are checking what fullslip kimchi steels etc will fit in either SCF1 or SCF2, they give us sizes and we will advise what slipcover they need. If you look further back on this thread we have asked collectors what full slip Asian steels fit what slipcover, this is so we can advertise on the adverts what steelbooks fit in either the SCF1 or SCF2. I am sure you can appreciate that we can not make about 5 different slipcovers for full slip steels to accommodate all sizes for a perfect fit. The feedback we got from collectors before was that as long as there prized processions were protected they did not mind them being a little big for some steels.

Dallas Buyers Club New Sealed Kimchi Lenticular steel with SCF2 Slipcover. This sealed steel would not fit inside the SCF1 but it may if unsealed.

So I picked some of the SCF2 and SCF1 slips to cover my Drive, Pianist, and Wrestler Korean copies based on recommendations that they'd fit. The Wrestler is very loose inside the SCF2 and all my other versions don't fit in the SCF1. Felt like I was about to ruin the lenticular slip because I was trying to force it in so hard. =/

I also ordered some stands from them as well and I must be the stupidest person on earth but these don't work either? I try and stand them up inside the stand and then just keep falling back. I've tried every which way to be sure as well. Feel like I wasted an entire order. :(

edit- Ok, so apparently they stand up fine without any case covering them. The plastic case must make it slide or something. Ughhh.

Shall I make a video on how to use a steelbook stand? I have just used steelbooks in the SCF1 and SCF2 and they fit fine, you just need to adjust until you reach the correct position, simples

Hi Everyone,

Could we have some feedback on our SCF2? We thought by making them to fit large full slip kimchi steels that some lenticular steels that do not fit in the SCF1 could be used inside the SCF2. There has been a couple of complaints that they are to big, do we need to make another slipcover or are most people happy?

I've noticed that the SCF2s are 3-4 millimeters too wide for my Novamedia full slips. Not a huge deal, but since I put my cases on display it would be fantastic if it were a bit tighter on the sides.

I personally think the SCF2's are perfect, they fit my Kimchi's great, I don't think they are too big at all just right in my opinion.

I think the slightly heavier/thicker plastic is also really good. I love the fully enclosed ones. I wanted them to fit over unopened kimchi ones some with full slips and other lenticular's and they do what I want them to do perfectly, I wouldn't change them.

Maybe we could make another slipcover that would suit some of the lenticulars that will not fit in our SCF1, these would fit the novamedia full slips better. I would need more feedback from others before we go ahead with making them

Thanks for your feedback Flash, the SCF2 will stay in our range as they are perfect for full slips, was just thinking of making another to suit lenticulars

Sure, if you'd like. Are you standing them up with the shells/cases on them? That was my main issue. I'm standing them up now without them on there and they stand up fine, but then there's no point of having the cases on them.

Yeah with SCF1 and SCF2 i tried, you just need to adjust to the right depth, keep adjusting until it fits just how you want it. Have you assembled the up stand the right way round? check out the picture below:-
