Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

@KingSteelie I just noticed that you guys now have 2 more kinds of stands, large and extra large. Are they new? I'm pretty sure I didn't see them when I got my small ones a few months ago. I see they are for full slips. Which one size do you recommend for full/lenti slips, is large enough?

I can tell you that I knocked my stand just a tad and my full slip toppled over and fell off lol. It was on the small stand though, the large ones would hopefully hold them better? Thanks :)

Hi,

Yeah we added 2 new stands to the range, although the SS1 does fit lenticular and fullslip, we think the new stands will be better and a bit more sturdy. The SS2 would be perfect for lenti and fullslip, the SS3 is even sturdier and is ideal for the above and maybe box sets.

Well after personal experience with most of the different designs of hard sleeves from all these different companies I've come to realize that blu-steels.com make the best designed sleeves. Now I'm on to order around 400 + a couple dozen jumbo's. I find the SC2's from Steelbook Central to be the most troublesome of the entire bunch. It doesn't matter how much I fold the crease for the flap to fit into the case itself on the opposite side of the open end it continues to pop out. After frustratingly destroying all 10 of these that I ordered I had enough of that crap. :banghead: :arghh:

I only use SC2's, none of the new style ones pop out. Best slips on the market.

I really cant understand how you cant fold an SC2, it's easy

I use them as well but would prefer them ever so slightly looser, not much just a bit.

I recently got some SCF1s and like them for the SteelBooks I'll never open.

I agree Ronnie, I think the next batch will be slightly looser, a bit like the original SC2 with the glue line at the back. What do you think of the easy folding line? do you prefer this or the old design?

Love the folding lines. Makes them hold their shape so much better with nice straight corners.

I don't know, maybe I got a bad batch or something. I ordered a pack of 10 SC2's to demo and I destroyed all 10 of them trying to make them work.

I bought the BS012's from Blu-steels and they worked absolutely perfect. After creasing the little tabs and inserting them through the little slots and then putting your hand inside the sleeve and folding the tabs flat was so simple and it left the spines open on the end which is exactly what I want.

Right now I have the ones that are open on the top and bottom and there ok but they are hard to see spine or take pictures of because of the glare.

I prefer the glue-line on the top, the back tab can't catch on it.

I agree, they hold the shape better with no bevelling at the edges.

Yeah the glue line is best on the top/bottom rather then the back, so you prefer folding lines of old slipcover then the new one?

@KingSteelie New SC2s are spot on, don't change a thing Matt

You're gonna hate me because I can't seem to make my mind up about keeping/selling everything, but do you have anything to hold an unsealed Blufans lenti? The Iron Man one in particular. I got my Kimchi Iron Man in an SC3, but the Blufans one is both too tall and wide to fit.

never had a problem with the flap coming out, if they are folded correctly it will shut properly. When did you buy the SC2's?
I sort of figured that they folded right where the crease was, is this the wrong way or has there been a change in design recently? I'm kind of lost because out of all that I bought of the SC2's I destroyed every single one of them trying to make them work, this is why I only bought a handful of them.

Out of all the BS012's that I bought from blu-steel, not a single one was destroyed in the process. The only thing about the BS012's is when buying large amounts of them they are quite a bit more expensive than the SC2's that come from Steelbook Central.

Do you have a hands on tutorial or video on how they should work like blu-steel has? I'm all for saving some money if only I could make them work.

The first SC2's with the glue on the top before the current range, the flaps didn't stay completely in an popped out a little once folded in. Making them not look as nice on the shelf. Maybe he got a batch of those instead of the current ones?

Your a nightmare lol, dont sell them just keep collecting  I have actually run out of room to store my steels, need to sell the ones I dont watch. We have the SCF2 which fits full slip steels and lenticulars for a loose fit. We have our new SCF3 slipcover specially for lenti steels will be out in a few months time
