Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?

Oh ok, the news page on steelbookcentral says that SCF3 is for jumbos and SCF4 is for DVDs.

Ah I see @CasuallyDressed . That is out dated info I'm pretty sure. Looks like it was posted a little after SCF2 was released which was before we knew about lenti slips being so loose in SCF2s. If I recall, @KingSteelie stated their next case SCF3 will be a tighter fit.

Hopefully they will hold jack reacher, leon kimchi, wall-e blufans a bit better too. It looks like I have more of a need for SCF3s than I do SCF2 lol, cmon kingsteelie give us a release date!!!

Yeah I've tried it in an SCF2 already, tis indeed very roomy. I thought the SCF3 was meant for jumbos? Surely that'll be even roomier?

SCF3 was meant to be a jumbo / oversize full slip slipcover but had to change as had a huge demand for lenticular slipcover, we will make a jumbo one some day

Your spot on nick The SCF3 will be same height as SCF1 but a little thicker and wider, how's that sound? can't give you a release date but it will be before Christmas

SC3 is just for standard steelbooks with J cards, not for lenticular steels. SCF2 will fit fullslip perfectly and lenticulars for a loose fit

I had Iron Man Kimchi and How To Train Your Dragon HDzeta in an SC3, and they do fit but very awkwardly. The sleeve bulges a bit at the top and bottom and the spine pokes out a bit. It's not damaging the steel or slip or anything, but it's not a nice fit and @KingSteelie is right that the SCF2 is the way to go for now.

Thanks for the info. I guess I will have to go with SCF2 for now. Don't really like it since it won't look good as it does in your pictures with SC3

Actually Iron Man Kimchi fits nearly bang on in an SC3, just the spine pokes out a bit.

HTTYD HDzeta does not fit nicely at all.

Not sure if I can get away with posting this here, but...

I have a 10 pack of the new SC3s that I'm not gonna use. 2 were used for a few weeks and have now been flattened, the other 8 still have the film on.

I'll move them on for a couple of quid if someone else wants to make use of them.

Every single one of my steels is either in an SC2, SC3 (Kimchi Iron Man) or SC6 (jumbos). All spines exposed, great for glamour shots.

Your set-up looks great @CasuallyDressed! I'm finishing up one of my steelbook bookcases and just need these slips / hard cases. For any G2 steels without full slipcovers or anything, do you think the SC2 OR SC3 is the best option?

SC2 is meant for bare steels, SC3 is meant for steels with their J card.

I bin my J cards so all of mine are in SC2s.

Not really, no. It's not what they're designed for. Sealed ones will undoubtedly still have their J card so it'll be a very tight squeeze trying to get one in an SC2.

I haven't got any sealed steels to show you how it would look, but I know that the top and bottom edges will bulge out because of the extra width causing the whole sleeve to bow at the sides.
