Hope I have this in the right place. I'd like to get some hard cases for my more valuable steels. They seem hard to get. A seller on Ebay Germany is selling them, but won't ship to Canada. but was unable to get any. Can anyone help?:(

I was just reading another thread here and someone mentioned some hard sleeves that slide in from the side from a French retailer. They look just like the sleeves from Protected.de except they slide in from the side which means no shelf wear on the bottom of the SteelBook, and you can see the spines clearly when displayed on the shelf.

I'm thinking about a large order. Anyone have and use these? Comments? Pictures?

Here's the link to the product ...

Yeah I'm thinking the same thing too. I was getting my hard sleeves from Germany but these look better as they show off the spine in all it's glory. These that Bidou is selling seem to be a little cheaper in price by a few dollars too as well as shipping. Think I might go with Bidou's now.

Guys I am new to this. Do we actually need to put Steelbooks in protective cases or will they get damaged by themselves as time passes? I store my Steelbooks in drawers and are not on display.

Please advise.
Thanks

I ordered these slipcases from eBay last week. These are the best cases imo, easy to take in and of, look good and protect your steels well.

I don't know mate, all my steels are opened, I'll try fitting one with a j card tomorrow and I'll let you know.

I like how those ones are closed along one side. What's the ebay link to them ?

These are the ones I have:

You can get different ones with opening on different sides. Here a few others: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/slipsteel/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686

They look real good but personally I would have turned them around and had the spine on the open end to be able to see it unrestricted. I plan to get some from Bidou because they'll be cheaper for me here in the states with the shipping. :)
