Signed up for the pre-order from amazon UK. I may keep this and the DE version assuming the US doesn't get release or get a unique one.

I have an odd feeling the DE version will remain the same while the US, UK, and Canada share this one.

from the looks of this it almost seems like both the blu ray banner and even the title on top could be cardboard backing possibly making this a "clean" steelbook.

I think it's just the same as amazon de is offering. There is a box set with the steelbook and then just the steelbook

One's just a steelbook, the other is a steelbook inside a boxset of some random crap that no-one really wants or needs. The boxset version is also usually overpriced and not worth the money (in my opinion).
