There's one bad thing about this design. No title on the front cover. Can't stand it when they do that.

But I think that is the idea behind the "title-less" cover - the art itself is supposed to convey the title of the movie. I really like the concept of the text-less steelbook design. It makes the steelbook iconic just like the movie it represents.

My two cents...

The one thing I don't get is if it has a Digital Copy and Ultraviolet Digital Copy and this only has one disc where is the Digital Copy? I know that Ultraviolet is cloud based so why would they need another downloadable Digital Copy? I have not seen a DC come on a Blu-ray disc before so did they goof by saying it has only one disc?

EDIT: NVM, I looked at Play and they seem to have a different J-Card than Amazon does which says Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy which makes more sense. Amazon is always late to the show on displaying the right pictures.

LOL I tried watching that movie as well and only lasted 2 mins into it but that's because the first minute was spent grabbing popcorn from the microwave.

It doesn't look good imo but 2 minutes is a bit fast to make a decision on wether a 1 hour and 45 minute long movie is good.
If that's how you make all your desicions when it comes to movies you must pass on some absolutely fantastic movies because the first 2 minutes didn't make a big enough impression on you.

You are absolutely correct I do miss some really good films because I do pass judgment too quickly sometimes. Although I do give some films a second chance and rewatch them again. Plus I was totally exaggerating on the time. It was more like 10 minutes.:D

Oh, well 10 minutes is totally different. :hilarious:

Glad to hear you give some films a second chance. Btw, I almost never turn off a movie. But I do however have a fairly strict way of determining which films I wanna watch. I don't just watch things willy nilly unlike alot of people do. Not saying you do tho. I have no idea what you do.

Anyway... Nice looking steelbook. I'm passing tho as I'm getting the FS one.

I might have to go with this one over the BB one.The art on this one is a little better to me with Charlize on the front, and you still get the tree art on the back win win.

I don't know if I want this or the BB edition more. I'm completely on the fence here. I like the titleless artwork and the bordered apple tree on this one but the one from BB is the extended edition. Does anyone know if this will have the extended cut? :wtf:

If you are not opening it then easy USA, If you are opening it that becomes tougher the UK version took a very nice piece of art that works well for the inside.

I have all 3 versions, cause I kind of like each one for different reasons

I open all my steels, well..except those I keep for trade. I remember seeing how close the title was to the top edge on the FS edition and the BB is just like it but then again it has the extended cut. ehh! These decisions are making my head hurt; not really but you know what I mean. I think I'll cancel my order with the BB edition and wait for HD pictures when it releases that someone will surely post in here. Then I'll decide if I want to re-order it or not.

I really dig this artwork and currently have the UK CLE boxset on preorder, the steelbook inside is identical to this right guys?

Sorry if its been asked before, but will this be the extended cut? Trying to figure out if I should open this or the Best Buy version.

According to The Digital Fix it had this to say about this movie and it's media in the UK.
Universal Pictures have announced the UK DVD and Blu-ray release of Snow White and the Huntsman on 1 October 2012. Rupert Sanders directs this twist to the fairy tale in which the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen. Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron star.

Available in four different versions, extras are outlined below...

Citizens of the Kingdom - Fairest of Them All: Snow White; Deliciously Evil: Queen Ravenna; The Huntsman; Motley Crew: The Dwarves

Blu-ray Steelbook Collector's Edition - £39.99 RRP

A specially created 72 page book including illustrations and articles written by the director, describing his artistic vision for this film
4 lithograph reproductions of original illustrations
4 exclusive film stills

As you'll see from the cover-art below, the Blu-ray version apparently features an 'extended' cut of the film. The press release makes no mention of this, but as the BBFC have already passed a 131 minute version of the film it's very likely the Blu-ray will feature an extended version of the film. The theatrical cut of the film is 127 minutes.

The BBFC also list an audio commentary for the extended cut, again not listed on the press release.

I couldn't get an answer on whether it had the extended cut or not so I went looking for it. So if the BBFC is touting that the Blu-ray edition will have the extended cut then it's safe to assume that this will include the steelbook edition as well. I'm keeping my pre-order with this and kicking my BB edition to the curb.
