am only guessing but i reckon the film company's have alot to do with what they can release and in which country they can do things,i agree there would be a big market for them no doubt

Yes, I think that's the same reason why there's no US company that creates premium releases. Movie companies here have too much control (n)

Bit off topic but it makes you
Wonder why no one has started a company offering premium full slip steels in the UK
Not allowed to mention the company's name but there is one that released a very limited edition slip on an existing steelbook in January of this year.
Took a while to sell out.

Honestly haven't got a clue what release your on about haha :/.

You've only got to look at Manta to see how easy it would be for the right people/company.

Produce high quality limited products aimed mainly at UK collectors and they would no doubt sell out.

I mean you only have to look at this release. I'm pretty sure it will sell out within a week or so, Would it sell out if it didn't include a slip ?..... Probably not

Also it's probably best to leave it there as we will be annoying the mods lol.

RE: SLIPCASES ON STEELBOOKS - I could be in a minority on this but I personally have little interest in slipcases for my steelbooks unless they are supplied at no extra charge like this one.
In other words I would not buy an already expensive steelbook like a Disney or a Marvel - that presently may cost me 25 quid - for 30 quid or more just because it came with a slipcase.
The ideal solution would be to have two "versions" of the same steelbook, one with slipcase and one without - in other words on a print run of say 2,000 half would be supplied with slips and half without - with the former priced @GBP 15.99 and the latter priced @GBP 10.99 (before working discount codes).
This one does looks very nice and is well priced at 16 quid (or less if you were lucky enough to catch the code) but despite that I'd be VERY surprised if it sells out before release date.

Came in a White zavvi box.
I haven't opened the steelbook package yet but it doesn't look like the slip case is embossed or has any kind of special finish effects

I think this is a really nice release. The steelbook has a quality matte finish and is WEA. The slip has artwork that is different from the steelbook and it's of reasonable quality.
It is ludicrous to expect the slip to be the same quality as a premium release. If it was then what would be the point of buying WWA premium release for double or triple the price. This cost only 15£ with free shipping for chrissake.

I was only pointing out it didn't appear to have any special effect finishes through the shrink wrap for any ninjas who may of been interested to know what the first zavvi slip box releases were like . Nothing more and nothing less.

Since opening it however, this slip is glossed whereas Top Gun is matte.

Just an additional point. The quality of the Universal slip in this release is much better quality than the Paramount slip in Ferris Bueller.
