Are you being serious? How were you able to order 411 copies an hour ahead of everyone else? And what about the guys who missed out because you bought 411 copies? I'm sorry but I don't see how thats fair!

that is not true, he's kidding around, there is a limite of 1 copie each a,b and C.

When they limit like this Tony goes over the whole list of purchases and ensure that no one has duplicate copies. This is what he did for Frozen. Since same rules applies I'm sure he will do the same thing in order to ensure rules are respected.

Here is my order way:
1.When they are almost live, I refresh the item page to get the "add to wish" and go to "wish list" wait.
2.refresh my "wish list" and "move cart"
3."Order now"
...

I also tried that method this time but didn't have your luck - by three minutes into the Go Live my Wish List page was still showing all three exclusives as OOS, even after repeated refreshes.

It is an elegant way to do it - provided it works for you.

I still managed to snag all three the hard way, clicking Add to Cart from each of the separate pages.

Now, if only Tony would catch up on his emails and bump me from Receipt of Order to Payment Completed.

Tony? Tony? Tony... :ohno:

Yes was very surprised though it would have been the other way around and that full slip would be first to go

I expect full slip to be gone by end of week possibly by tomorrow night. I don't think there is many left. The site got hammered tonight. It was just as bad for me as it was for Rush. Took me 8 minutes to checkout and I was already on the longin page with stuff in my cart 15 minutes before the go time.

So now the long wait to see this up against drive. Both lenticulars are going to rock!!! :scat:

I am hoping they spend some extra money on this release. The steelbook needs to have a very special type of paint and finishing to it. Needs to look and feel like steel. Needs a crackle type roughness to the entire steel and a shiny smooth embossed emblem in the middle with sharp embossing so it looks and feels like the real thing. I also hope they surprise us with the full slip. Give us high quality paper like PA use. Do something incredible. This is Koreas chance to put themselves in the forfront of Pemium steelbooks going forward with no competition in site.

We will pay for the highest quality premium product around. $10 per steel extra is nothing if it gives you a grail each time. Yes I said grail as I think this one has the chance to do it along with Rush.

Kimchi is firing on all cylinders and I see no end in sight now that they have committed to partnering with PA. They want the best and they are delivering.

Kimchi is so far winning the retailer of the year by a mile. Every release just keeps getting better.

I have to admit that I'm a bit surprised at how much easier this was for me compared to Rush, especially considering how much trouble others had.

I had my order completed in just under 3 minutes with only one bad gateway/timeout during the process. Coming back from PayPal it had logged me out but at that point the server was smooth and responsive, so I was able to log back in and check on things. Guess it died a horrible death after that. Sorry to those that missed out. :( I can't imagine how bad it would have been without the order limit.

Kimchi really needs to overhaul the servers and, frankly, the order process. There's so many unnecessary steps that could be reduced and save on website traffic per person. Iron Man and Drive are going to be absolute nightmares if things stay as is.

I will sound dumb but what is a digipack ? I hope it's not included in the kimchi releases ?!

why TYPE A so heavy it's over 2000g compared to b or c which are 500g ??? can't be just the book and box

Answer from their fb ;

In Boxset, 188 page artbook and 2 disc steelbook are in included so it's heavy.

The Full Slip Sold out 1 Hour Ago

Only Type A is available Art Book Limited Edition Package
I gather you mean this one

In order to complete the order, you have to:

1. Refresh the item page to get the "add to cart" button
2. Add to cart.
3. Wait for "Cart add success" to appear
4. Click "Cart"
5. Click "Order now"
6. Click receiver info same all "yes" button
7. Click "Checkout"
8. Click payment method.. (Card, Paypal, etc)
9. Either enter card info or login to paypal
10. Confirm payment.

With Kimchi's servers moving at a snail's pace, it is 100% impossibile that 600+ collectors from around the world were able to accomplish all this to sell out that lenticular in 11 minutes.

From my experience of this release it seems like your copy is reserved after step 5 on your list.

I got mine into the cart at 14.01, took till 14.09 to get to checkout, then took me till almost 14.25 to make the payment.

My invoice shows that the order was placed at 14.09

Not everyone would have completed all the steps by 14.11, but I guess there must have been a large amount reserved while awaiting payment

And Pigs can Fly! :hilarious:

I agree. Just horrible.

Same here, but Rush was pretty bad, too...

1 Rush 1/4
2 Rush Lenti
3 Rush Full Slip
-
4 Snowpiercer Type a
5 Snowpiercer type b
6 Snowpiercer type c (I missed this)
-
7 Snowpiercer 1/4 slip (pass)

Got Type A,B,C, 1/4 slip, Premium Digi boxset, regular digi I spent more on this release then I did on Rush. EEK!

I expected big issues ordering because i was at work and I had to leave the building on my break to squeeze in an order. Done at :07 and it wasn't as bad as usually for me at least. And I usually have horrible reception there :D

WOW!!! I guess who ever missed the lenticular must have went on and ordered the full slip. Maybe somonoe knows the quality on it. I hope its as good as quality as Melencholia. That would be awesome. Anyway now its just the boxset. I bet people will be panacking and just ordering it with possibly the normal steel to average cost down and to keep one sealed and or trade/ sell to bring your cost down.

Ipressed this went so fast considering there are so many non exclusives left.

I really hope the Full Slip is the same quality as The Pianist....:scat:

I want it to be like Melencholia. Hot stamping and high quality paper. I want the best of the best for this release. It means so much for Korea as a whole IMO to show they got the best. PA has already shown us they got the best Full slips now we need Kimchi to work with PA to get the best one ever made. That would put Kimchi on a whole new level above the rest. Would be a win win for them and us.

I have ordered Type A, i was thinking for the moment about Lenti...but it was too much money for one film. During payment i stopped it. I think it was easy to order this time. Limit helped i suppose.

I'm not surprised the lenticular sold out far quicker than the full slip (the exact opposite to other people's sentiments). I much prefer the lenti artwork to the full slip (and clearly, so do many others).

I think Kimchi have made a poor decision with the print run of this one. They should have secured a larger allocation of Steelbooks for the full slip and lenticular editions and a smaller allocation for the boxset version. It's a shame as the order limit seems to have worked well. I hope they can get everything right for the next pre-order.

Ordering for this was painless for me today, which is a very different tale to Rush! Managed to get the lenti and full slip with checkout completed in only 2 minutes! I got very lucky indeed :scat:

I think this is largely down to the 1 type per person limit, and hope that Kimchi maintain that for future releases - ESPECIALLY IRON MAN!!!

I hope Zaavi can get one thing right. :hilarious:

This will sell out, you're wrong as always. ;)
