Bummed that this will probably sell out before I can get my order for 1 b and 2 c's in. I refuse to pay shipping twice =(

I'm assuming you want two copies to keep one open and one sealed but this is the exact reason why members here pushed for a 1 edition per person limit. It's not fair that one collector can get 2+ copies of the same edition, and other collectors get none. You've just proved this system works, as you're not going to buy multiple copies. It'll definitely make it harder for the eBay resellers too.

While it's a welcome measure, it should really have been introduced prior to Rush, where I feel it would have had a much bigger impact (a lot more satisfied collectors).

It would seem you won't be able to get 2 C's at all though - 1 of each type per person

You sure? That's not how I understood it. Will the order limit not be removed after 24 hours if titles still remain?

I do want two copies of one version cuz I do want to open one and watch it while keeping one of the same versions plus one other sealed. There is no fairness in this hobby at all, as what should be fair is Kimchi only making one version of a movie instead of multiple kinds to gouge their supporters (ie us collectors) outta money just for the sake of different pretty packaging being offered.

Yea, people are buying these movies up just for reseller purposes on eBay. But as hard as I've tried to collect the movies I want from Kimchi (some I was able to get and some I wasn't) it's not like I've gone out of my way to make sure I get everything they (Kimchi) releases just for collectability and/or resale. Arguably, Frozen is Kimchi's most expensive reseller title, but I had no interest in it and so I didn't buy it. But it's now that I've gotta suffer when there's a movie I finally have interest in and want to buy multiples of because other fans are worried that they won't get there orders in? How is that fair?

No, choosing to limit the purchasing to 1 copy of each version is a middle finger to us. If Kimchi wants to fix things, they would stop with the multiple releases of one movie in different packaging, they would give us HDNinja posters the first crack at ordering before resellers can, and they would actually look at their company thread in this forum and release the movies that fans want to see released rather than just giving us what other companies are already making steelbooks for anyways.

For me to be lumped in with other reseller's who are buying up every Kimchi steelbook for resale is unfair, especially when all I want is one more copy of one version that I like the cover to. But according to your post, Kimchi is doing its job by disheartening me from ordering even one copy at all because I can't/don't want to afford paying shipping twice for two separate orders. Swell...

No, choosing now to limit the purchasing to 1 copy of each version is a middle finger to us fans. If Kimchi wants to do us a real favor, the company would stop with the multiple releases of one movie in different packaging, give us HDNinja posters the first crack at ordering before the resellers can, and they would actually look at their own thread here and release the movies that fans want to see released rather than just giving us what other companies are making steelbooks for anyways.

The way I see it, i'm someone who buys steels to open, watch them and enjoy. I've got no interest in buying extra copies just to sell on at ridiculous prices. So imagine my frustration when I see people who have bought multiple copies just to keep them sealed, and I missed out completely. It works both ways.

If you want a disc to watch, why not just buy an amaray edition?

If you want one to watch buy a non steelbook version
IMO no one needs to buy any steelbook and keep it sealed if your not planning on opening what's the point of buying it in the first place

Note
I can understand when there are different version available with different artwork or extras different or a release with better picture quality collectors buying

I can understand when someone buys a second copy and keeps it sealed if its to trade or sell

If you must keep a steelbook sealed and that is your choice for whatever reason even if I don't get it and seams a waste of money in my opinion
Just buy a normal version if you want to watch a film and keep the steelbook sealed if you must have it that way

When its very limited its simply not fair on collectors who want to have in their collection and who open and enjoy all of the steelbook to have someone buy multiple copies and they miss out

If its a easily available release then that's fine if someone wants to have for whatever reason in there collection sealed steelbooks never to be opened even if I don't agree in this type of collecting its still a right if someone wants to do this but not when its very limited release as its not fair on collectors who want to open and enjoy a release to see someone buy multiples and as a result they cant buy it

Having a limit of 1 for a few days is good for collectors as those who really want it to enjoy it fully have better chance of getting

If is still available after 2-3 days then I don't see any problem in someone buying multiples if its to keep sealed or to trade or to sell as most collectors who really want it would have got their order in in the first or second day

Some of the worst re-sellers are members of HDN, so that wouldn't work either! IF they still have some available the next day then you can buy a second (or 3rd or 4th?!) copy - but 1 per person is fair, and in no way a middle finger to the customers! It's a middle finger to the re-sellers, pure and simple!

Well i like the multiple versions and don't think Kimchi are trying to gouge their supporters (ie us collectors) outta money, what they are doing is giving us a choice of the packaging we prefer with lots of extras, me i prefer lenticular and only want one copy, others prefer full slip, plus only 666 copys of each how is that trying to do the collector?
I think it's a great idea to limit to 1 per customer, it looks more like they are trying to help the collector to me :D

Couldn't agree more with those three points! ;)

If I miss out on an exclusive because someone has bought multiples of the version I am after then posts "I got 3 of this and 2 of that" it makes my blood boil....
Amazon.jp limit most of their exclusive steels to 1 per order and collectors still survive. So at least for the first 24 hours I am glad there's a limit of 1 per version!!
After that they can let the flood gates open if it's still available......:hilarious:

I would never order one item and pay full ems to ship 1 thing. That is crazy. Get a couple people to go in together and you can split shipping.

You are right, but on the other hand...if customs will get you with 3-4 editions...you will pay a lot. I am going to take only Type A EMS and than other things k-packet. With customs on EMS (that are for 90%), you will pay much more if you take more editions.

I was always firmly behind a 2 per person limit if there was going to be a limit at all (with most retailers not just Kimchi) because I didn't want the only copy of a limited steel I get from across the world to be damaged in some way. But I do think Limited to 1 for the first day is the fairest way to ensure this doesn't sell out in under 20 mins and give more people a shot at grabbing one especially with the server issues we've all had in the past.

There comes a time in collecting when you have to sit one out, for one reason or another. Really really wanted that type A, but money is tight right now...so $125 is a lot!

Good luck to whomever is going for that or any other version :)
