solar storm are we ready

today/tonight in northern USA ... mostly north east all the way across to washington state tho you should be able to see stuff in the sky.

No, thank goodness, otherwise we'd be a smoldering rock in space.
On a serious note; I actually stepped outside a couple of times last night and didn't see anything. It could just mean that I'm too far south though.
It couldn't be as bad as the meteor that passed by between the Earth and the moon a few months back. I heard it was a pretty good size one too and it could have messed us up real bad. I heard it cought us by surprise too.

Yeah, not sure what these solar storms do. Although, I thought they mainly knocked out power grids, etc. I guess I need to read up on them more.
I am in WA state and had my LED lantern and SureFire tactical flashlight close by with my Desert Eagle out of the safe ready to rock and roll. But slept right through it.
