ATTENTION!!!!

My ninjas and Ninjettè's: attention please!

I need the help of OCD collectors to identify an issue with this beautiful yet plauged release....

Other than the obvious quantity issues with this release + the 'normal' minor paint chips that come with these types of releases.....I have another issue that needs to be reported, addressed & identified.

As I noticed with multiple copies of the glossy Target Ender's Game Steelbook, this S.O.B. has an imperfection that I don't see to much...

The 'Crime to humanity' or Imperfection is: along the edges. It almost looks like dings on the edges. But it's right on the edge on bothe sides (front left, and right). Because of the Uniformity & Location of these imperfections, I believe these dents are caused by one of two things:

1. Manufacturer defect
Or
2. Plastic Security device (compression related)

Has anyone noticed these dents???????????????

I'm inclined to believe its a manufacturer defect, though.....but I really hope that's not the case because I really want a 'perfect copy'....No, I need a perfect copy for My DC/DC Animated SB collection!!!

I have perfect copies of TDKR & JL War, so I really want to keep that trend going....

The thing is, this edition has better art, and a way better finish, it just bad ass awesome, the best target DC steel yet....that's why these stupid imperfection erk my very core.....

Please help identify these inperfections. Surley there must be a name/term for them.....

I think these are normal. I have them on a lot of my steels. I think it's just a product of manipulating the metal...

Hey, bro!

I have tons of steels, and I inspect them all with a trained, OCD-eye.
NOT Normal. I only have a few with these imperfections out of 170+. Not normal at all IMHO & Medium-Rare to Very-Rare in occurrance & form, my brother.

That is why Ive called Upon the wrath of the HDN NINJA to help put a finger on these beaches <---(Spanish accent)

Ok, my fault. Must be a defect then.

Here's Son of Batman lined up with Man of Steel (Walmart). Most of my glossy ones have this "dimple"....some are just more pronounced than others. Not trying to start argument here, just showing a comparison :)

Heard about this today. Got the last one at target. Then went to another and didn't even see the regular instock. I don't think they got any.

Picked another today for a friend overseas. These are much harder to get than DKR, wow!!! I noticed the website now reflects $16.99 price, but "STEELBOOK" has been removed from the title despite still displaying the photo. It's still available for purchase, but who knows if they'll be sending amarays instead :)

Is there any problem (also) with the way we the Latin speakers pronunciation? Enviado desde mi GT-I9300

^wrong thread, Chum. And We got more pressing matters at hand on this thread.

*Did I say I had 'a problem' with Latin Speaker's pronunciation? Who speaks "Latin" anyway? Do you speak Latin, cabrón? Solamentè hablo espanol. Soy Colombiano. Habla me en espanol.

I see these bottom dimples as very common. They are on every Steelbook, aren't they?

These aren't the dimples/dents you spoke of? It's what I thought you meant.

No, I wasn't talking about the dimples on the bottom, those dont bother me too much. The imperfections/indentations Im trying to identify are:

*the front/back of the Steelbook
* if it catches the light/at angels you can see indentations on the left and right Edges, on the crease.
*if you're face to face with the steelbook, the crimes are on the Edge line. Not on 'the sides' like those common dimples. On the face.

So after the last two days of hunting, I've come across these 6 copies for the GB. Took 7 different stores to find them, but I did. I could only find 2 copies (plus my personal copy) in 6 stores. Luckily the last store I went to had 4 copies. Apparently, this is a fairly rare steelbook out the gate. I've NEVER seen this few copies at these stores I went to. Most had over a dozen of the JL:War steels on release day. And a couple of them still had TDKR's a lil less than a month ago. Anyways, I'm glad these will find themselves a good home...

Just in case anyone is trying to find them, the DPCI number is 058-30-0676, but remember that it is the same as the standard Amaray release, so if you check your stores, make sure you have them check if it is in fact the steelbook.
