Yes.

If you look at the actual photos in the thread, not the one at the top you'll see that it essentially looks like a steelbook for Spider-Man, complete with just the title on the spine, no mention of it being a trilogy anywhere on the case itself, just the cardboard.

I pointed this out as soon as the photos went up. It's a small thing, but it would bother me. Especially just to look at the spine. At least the German Matrix Trilogy has 'Complete Trilogy' written on it.

It makes me think they just lifted this design from the old Spiderman DVD release.

The embossing question has certainly been answered, and no, there's no embossing.

Every other Spider-Man has been region free and Sony don't ever lock their titles as far as I know so I'd say you're pretty safe.

I received mine today but unfortunately it has a huge dent in the spine. I managed to get the front back into shape but there's no saving the metal spine.

Can someone help, am I able to email Amazon in English and are they likely to want the other one back first?

If I can't get it sorted, if anyone wants to sell the empty case for a tenner (basically I need the plastic case and a perfect spine, you can keep the front and back) let me know.

Is that a fact? Personally I know more who open them than keep them sealed.

As for the steelbook, it looks really nice IMO... wish I'd got this instead of the UK box set now.

Yes you can email Amazon, they will send you a replacement. They may want you to send it back, it depends on your location.

I was a bit worried that I would have to explain the situation in German. Even sticking it through a translator might only come up with a load of jibberish. I'm based in the UK.

If the sound is really an issue for anyone, you can get the UK set for about £8 and swap the discs.

Received this today as forgot to cancel. I admit that it does look nice but shame that Spidey 1 and 2 doesn't feature English lossless audio and Spidey 3 bonus disc is not included.
