Stupid questions. How are the maniacs box and the individual editions numbered relatively? The maniacs box is limited to 400 while the individual editions to 500. Does FA make 900 copies of each edition and split them accordingly? If not, are the copies in a maniacs box numbered at all or just the outer box is? I mean, you can't really have #1 on the E1 in the maniacs box and the another #1 on the individual E1, can you?
Maniacs Boxes are Numbered on the Box itself and as well each edition E1 + E2 + E3 + E5B(Un-Numbered) will be numbered the same as the Box itself.
They do change the writing on each edition numbering card and sticker(bottom of the Slip) stating that this numbered edition
comes from the maniacs Box (
The numbering card will reflect this)
now FA does their numbering editions differently. Usually a Retailer would start numbering the individual remaining copies starting after the numbered of Boxsets they make,
for example; all other retailers, if they make 500 Boxsets: all editions in the Boxset will be numbered up to 500 - and they will Start numbering the remaining individual copies starting at number 501 etc...
FOR FilmArena Collection;
They will not start numbering individual copies sold outside of the Box, after the number of box made.
They Start Numbering the individual copies starting at 000 again.
So depending on the print run, they will number each edition from 000 until the number of copies they put out.
For Spider-Man, they will number
Maniacs Boxset E4 = 000 to 400
E3 = 000 to 400
E2 = 000 to 400
E1 = 000 to 400
E5B = Un-Numbered
Individual Copies numbered
E3 = 000 to 500
E2 = 000 to 500
E1 = 000 to 500
hope this helps and not too confusing
PS: it is difficult to tell the Print run exactly as they press Un-Numbered amount of Steelbooks for E5A and E5B
