Not coming across any stellar artwork for this film and the image in the OP is one of the better ones even though it's a mock-up of a scene from the trailer and not in the finished film (another famous recent example being ROGUE ONE where trailer footage does not always make the final cut) .............................................................................................and the main floating heads poster is certainly not doing anything for me:-
------------------------------------------
OP would go just fine with previous U.K. run of recent Spidey steels:-

. . . although something different would be interesting:-

At least there are no sparks here

gotta be a catch ..or a typo - this is OBV the version to get...and a fiver less than other 2k steels WITH the 3D this time....
No catch. I tweeted them to ask and they confirmed it’s this and that it’s Sony who have wanted to go that way which they were happy to do

may stick with the 4K version by way of future proofing my collection(no 4K player or TV yet though...)
I still have and use my 3D TV so no way was I willing to lose the 3D disc.

This is the way forward and honestly, would encourage me to upgrade my TV sooner if I amassed a nice collection of 4K movies, via this route :)

Pre-ordered both version's at HMV for now(I admit I like the magnet dronie) but will likley just keep one and cancel the other.

thanks.

I would recommend keep the 4K version then for future purpose. Pointless keeping 3D if u one day upgrade

I quite like 3D(though only certain movies warrent it...recently re-watched Titanic in 3D...stunning still) but wouldnt give away any disc.
Am a bit OCD in that even the digital disc(remember those) I kept in sets.
I add discs for some sets (such as my metalpack Beauty and the Beast consisting of the triple play UK set and a 3D disc inside the metalpak) but never sell or offload unwanted/unused discs.
I cant break up a set like that :)

But I am leaning towards the 4K set if all parts do remian(sadly I can see a 'sorry but there was an error, there will be no 3D disc in this set' message at a later date...hopefully am wrong)

Have the same doubt.

But HMV doesn't ship overseas and they need not jack up the price like Zavvi that adds postage to the item price.
if they keep it the same price as the magnet I may have to keep both and decide when I have them in hand.

After the controversial kingsman Looks like another winner from hmv which im more than happy to support not a big fan of the other magnet version

3d is 3d no mater what the resolution, be it 4k, 8k and so on. 3d is upgrading.

If you play a current 3D disc on an 8K display, it would only be 8K if it was up-converted. It doesn't magically become 4K or 8K. There's currently no 4K 3D display on the home theater market.
