The odyssey is over. I received it today. I love the front artwork but it feels in-hand like a missed opportunity. It could have been so much better quality wise.
It feels like a custom job printed at a printing house on some better cardboard. Not impressed like I was from the mockups. And definitely not worth the 40 EUR in my opinion.
It should have been around 25 EUR. Steelbook looks wavy but its the WWA so no props at this point for this..

Received it as well today and must agree with @dan8885, the mock-up promised one awesome edition and a must-have. In reality, it's still pretty nice as the slip artwork is just really great  and the cardboard used is quality stuff . However, I feel like this was one big missed opportunity to create something truly special as the full slip is pretty much cardboard with printing on it and nothing sticks out. Had at least hoped for some nice texture of the cardboard or something alike. :sorry: Still, it presents itself rather good.
Apart from this, it does indeed feel like a custom job (a good one, don't get me wrong), yet not worth 40€. The steelbook itself is a beauty but the goodies do disappoint overall: the artcards are nothing special (and very thin paper) but I like the chosen pictures. However, the booklet is still not fitting 100% into the slip which is surprising given the 2 week delay just for reprints. And every single picture except the cool front and backcover is (if so little) blurred as it seems to be a movie still taken directly with movement which is a shame for a prestigious release. :(
The numbering card however is pretty cool. :hungry:
If this release had been around 25€, I'd love this but for 40€ there is something missing, something particular standing out from the crowd. (The many delays didn't help sadly as the expectations just kept growing.)

So, yes, this edition looks really good but once you remove the foil, it only becomes ok. There is room for improvement which I'd love to see from Steelarchive but I doubt that I will be paying anything close to 40€ again. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this release is not a good one (it is) but it's just not what one could expect for this price. Still, thank you @DuckDogers for testing out the possibilities of such releases here in Germany and hopefully starting a trend. That is worth supporting and that's why I'm happy to finally own this release.

Is anyone able to do a side by side with FilmArenas "As Above, So Below" I think this would be a fair comparison and no doubt what Steelarchive are aspiring to?
